Hello, just about a little hidden gem, Blind drive is currently 20% off on Steam with a shiny new super important update for this sort of game : subtitles !!!
It's a game you just play with sounds, so if you're not perfectly english fluent (and i'm not !!), subtitles are really important.

french - english - german - spanish - japanese subtitles

I'm not related to devs, it's just that the game is recent, excellent and not well known.

I wouldn't play it on PC but looks like an awesome mobile game.

For sure graphically it's not the most attractive PC game, i don't know exactly why devs chose PC over mobile in fact.
But it could be seen as a new kind of game (like "A blind legend" but better) and i think it's great that video games are opening up to disabled including blind gamers. Especially since unlike the other game, this one is not just an experience, it's excellent in itself as a game.

If you can only play by ear, then you can switch off your monitor.
Interesting!?
But why does the game need graphics then? 🤔

It doesn't need, but they decided to make it for art reasons, or to sell for more people. It's a silly question in a world when we have official music videos, putting massive effort and time to make "unnecessary" visuals to music :)

The game offers two modes, the one by default allows you to see some indications on the screen : the number of lives you have left, the degree of braking to the left or right, the distance (and score) travelled without a crash, and subtitles ! (and Adam124 is right, it's for art reasons too probably)

There is another mode in option that allows you to turn off all of that, or you can switch off your monitor yes the same. And there is an audio option for blind gamers to help them find their way around the menu and settings. But hmm i hadn't thought about it, a blind player can't read the subtitles, so he only has the audio in English unfortunately. 😐

When the game was launched a few months ago, there were no subtitles, it looks a very small studio i guess it would be difficult for them to add audio dubbing in different languages.

I am sure I saw some sound focused games before, so I wouldn't say it is a "new kind". I personally like these type of games, but the thing is I wouldn't want to sit on a computer just to click left/right.

The game is out on mobile as well so at least that is where I would play.

Can people with vision disabilities play this game? It should be advertised if so.
