The Holiday Sale will start on December 13, 2023 and last till January 10, 2024. There will be:
- Free Games & Cosmetics Giveaways,
- Epic Coupons: 33% discount,
- Epic Rewards: 10% cashback.
The number of free games is unknown. There is a rumor that the first free game would be available for 6 days.

Hey there all, i want to ask if someone has the same Problem with Epic Store like me, i go to that Page with Free Game and then my Language changed Automaticly in the Top, while everything else is the Language i use.
Down is German, but in Top where you can change the Language and all, is then different like in Chinese, Thailand oder whatever. Also the link says german in End.
Does someone has the same Issue? Would be interesting to know or if i need to Worry at my Side maybe.

I might be grasping at straws here but in years past they would give hints of the next week's game in the mystery game's "wrapping paper" image.
The mystery game image up right now might not have any hints but one of the circles does look like it could possibly be the Umbrella Corporation logo from Resident Evil.
Their is also 3 mouse pointers next to each other so maybe that could be a clue that it'll be a 3 game giveaway or something. Who knows, time will tell.

Small suggestion, I think you should replace the Epic Games Store home page link with the link to the Free Games section of the store. The free games are at the top of the screen on that page so we would no longer need to scroll past the paid games to claim the free ones every week.

Never really understood this mindset, literally the only time you have to interact with the launcher is when you start the game.and at best that takes like 15 seconds. It's a shit launcher, I totally agree, but that shouldn't be a reason to not play all the amazing games that were given away.

People just like to complain, I have used the Epic Launcher and It's as bad as Steam. Uplay used to work very smooth years ago when I checked It but every gaming platform on PC keeps adding useless stuff at the expense of performance.

many of these games don't even have achievements on Epic. Epic doesn't even have a mod support yet. it doesn't then have a good chat or a forum that are basilar for a platform. the launcher and their service are poor compared to Steam. I also i always prefer Steam to play my games

You can still use steam overlay for chat, if you really have to. Achievements are such a niche thing. Sony acknowledged that long ago. Only a small % gamers pay attention to those. You can also mod games just fine on Epic, they just don't have the workshop part. As far as the launcher/UI, itself, it functions just fine. Same as every other launcher. It's like streaming services...they're all the same.
Are there deficiencies with Epic? Sure...but 450 free games sure is a great way to compensate and even overcome those.

You should delete your account there, that would really show EGS. You own a massive library worth a lot of money, even though it didn't cost them anything outside of the flat fee that they payed the developers for giving away the freebie. In a way, you are supporting and adding to the value of EGS.
Imagine EGS paying a few hundred thousands to give away an awesome game and none of the freeloading haters would redeem, it would bring up the cost per redemption.
