Maybe the BTA games could be worth a little bit more of a %, but I think that removing them from the list wouldn't work so well.

You have the stat for the last bundle right there.
If you by 'last' mean the current one, it's 304 Red Orchestra's on the 1st day (+ 14 Red Orchestra Franchise packs) and 208 Killing Floor Bundles. One the 2nd that ration is even lower (~200/80).

Unfortunately this can't be objective as the BTA number isn't static. Sometimes it's two dollars, sometimes it's 10 dollars. People who buy for a dollar in the first five minutes are going to get a ton of free contributor compared to those who buy later when the average is higher. Plus groupees has a different higher bar number every bundle. Sometimes it's 5 or 7 dollars sometimes it's 2 or 3.

The only bundles that have a changing BTA price are HIB and IR, both have it set higher in the beginning then it usually ends. The Killing Floor one started at $9 now it's 3, Darksiers one dropped by 3 in a couple of hour from start...IIRC only HIB V actually incresed in price over time.
IR's a different matter, they usually stay withing .5 of the preset price.

Not really. IR starts at $4 but usually hovers around $5.50 now

There's a lot of these threads, so I'll try to keep it brief.
Usually there's two tiers of games when a indie bundle sale appears. The $1 ones, and the beat-the-average ones. The notable exception is Indie Royale, and maybe something else, I don't remember. With the contributor system and the bundle list this leads to situations where a $5 Indie Royale containing 3-4 Steam redeemable games gets considered bundled, but an Amazon pack which has 5 Steam games and costs the same, does not (not, in my humble opinion should it).
Let's take a look on how the sales affect the number of games contributed, with a couple of examples:
$1 games:
On the other hand we have their BTA counterparts (~$7 and $5 respectively)
The disparity is obvious and becomes even bigger if you look at the whole duration of the sale.
What I propose is that the bundle list should contain only games that were part of a $1/$0.99 deal.
That would include, for example Limbo, VVVVV, Crazy Machines 1/1.5, Darksiders, but at the same time it wouldn't include Atom Zombie Smasher (only a part of BTA HIB3), Crazy Machines Elements or Darksiders 2. Or for example, Bastion wouldn't get on the list back when HIB V appeared, but rather 2 weeks ago, when i became a $1 deal. This could solve the complaints of people arguing why some Amazon/GMG deals aren't considered bundled, would let people who bought BTA versions of bundles (usually $4 or more, with the latest weekly HIB as an exception) contribute to the fullest and at the same time encompass most of what a lot of the community seems as 'contributor value farming/abusing'.
Of course, this is just a (probably not so well thought through) suggestion, feel free to point out the flaws behind my reasoning.
