Almost Rhythm Heaven... or not?

View Results
[T1] Paying that much for these 2 games is a real Disaster for my bank account, but I'll still do it.
[T2] I'm trying to Escape from overpaying for T3. This will do though.
[T3] All Straight Roads leads to this tier. Purchasing a lower one simply doesn't make sense.
[Have] These games Fell Soundly into my Steam library, I don't even remember when I got them.
[Skip] I need a Rhythm Doctor, otherwise who is going to cure me?
[Expensive] Humble's Price Hazard strikes again. For half the price, I wouldn't have second thoughts about getting it, but the current price is outrageous.

for the first time is better buying on Steam Store here in Brazil instead of HB. Even with the high inflation the prices are not that high

Tier 2 for 12 bucks, it already becomes a norm at this point huh..
Tho i'll admit No Straight Roads is actually a damn good game so people who buy it and expect it as nice rhythm game won't be disappointed, but not for 16 bucks..

The thing is my Steam account is US so I could redeem it. I don't know whether SEA account can actually redeem it

If only Hi-Fi RUSH was included in this, it would've been an instant buy for me. No Straight Roads: Encore Edition seems to be the only worthwhile game here. Soundfall looks passable, but the rest looks like cheap garbage.

You can always by Hi-Fi Rush from other stores if you want it so badly.

Sure, but not for a price I'm willing to pay. I rarely ever buy games than aren't heavily discounted or bundled. That's why I usually lag a few years behind everyone, when it comes to modern games. It's extremely rare when I buy a game at launch / pre-order... the last one I remember actually pre-ordering was Horizon: Forbidden West, and it's new DLC. Spider-Man 2 will also be an exception.

I tend to do the same, so I totally understand your point. At the same Hi-Fi Rush is pretty recent, unless it had extremely poor sales, it won't be included in a bundle anytime soon. Bundles tend to be more expensive lately and than seems to increase people's expectations regarding the content, both in terms of quality and value.

Well, it did underperform in sales from what MS said. So, maybe we see it soon in a bundle. But who knows.

It was well received both by critics and gamers and poor sales are supposed to be just a rumor, but indeed, nobody knows for sure. I keep thinking of Rollerdrome who appeared to also do pretty well, however it recently landed in the Humble Choice. It took longer than 3 months though.

Microsoft said they didn't meet sales numbers (which is understandable given the game had zero marketing). But yes, it did well with critics and gamers which is what MS should be proud of since this is a new IP. They did say the game is great and that the poor sale numbers aren't an issue, with everyone happy with how the game fared with the consumers (apart from not meeting certain sales numbers ofc xD).

https://www.gamesradar.com/xbox-says-hi-fi-rush-was-a-success-in-all-key-measurements-amid-rumors-of-poor-sales/

Also, the new Bendy game is in a bundle, so while it has glowing reviews, seems the numbers sold aren't as great and this can boost their popularity (the first Bendy game was quite obscure and quite good). Haven't yet had the chance to try Rollerdome, but I suspect it's the same thing, with them wanting perhaps more eyes on their games. Sadly, Steam is flooded with shit games (or mediocre) that make it hard to find some of these great ones for an average consumer who doesn't filter too much when searching.

Overall an expensive and disappointing bundle.
Only SoundFall and Beat Hazard 3 look interesting, so probably a skip for me.

Another No Straight Roads experience

HB country set to Turkey
Steam country set to Turkey.

Got the key, but when I tried to activate it, Steam told me "items are not available for purchase in your country". I filed a support ticket to Humble Bundle, will see where it goes.

No idea what sub I got, if there's a way to see it without spoiling the key, please do tell me.

Humble Bundle allocated keys erroneously. The "ROW" key is not actually "ROW", yet SEA (and now Turkey too) seem to receive it even if it cannot be redeemed in these countries.
It will likely be fixed, so perhaps try to save the key before they replace it.
Several SEA customers already opened tickets about this issue.

As long as you're in one of the locked countries, you can't see the sub.
Only someone outside the locked countries who already has the game can help you identify the sub using ASF. But keep in mind that if they don't have the game yet, they will redeem the key when they try it.

Update on my case:
They've replaced the key with one that's valid for India and Turkey only. It activated on my Turkey account with no issues.

'No Straight Roads - Retail (Turkey and India)'

Does this mean that the previous fake ROW key they've given me is still valid and I can trade / give it away?

It's unknown what they will do with those. Sometimes they invalidate them, other times they just remove them from your purchase page.

I think a lot of people are too greedy for the $16 bundle. These are great games with a good enough composition. If you wanted games like Rhythm Doctor or Hi-Fi Rush, the price would have risen even more. and it would have been better if a game like Sayonara Wild Hearts was included in the bundle.

Not terrible, about $65 to pick 'em all up considering their best-ever prices right now, with only one of 'em ever bundled apparently.

Sure it's not one of those 90% off bundles but if anyone was considering on buying even a couple of these at their lowest (so far) prices and didn't want to wait for them to go lower, you could do worse.

It is a bit funny that Disaster Band seems heavily inspired by Trombone Champ though.
