Okay, finished contrast today!!! Great puzzle platformer, if a little sparse and on the short side. I'l be playing games as i win them. Do you need any kind of synopsis of games as i complete them? Either way, still ok to join?

Hi kilometres101! That's good to hear, I see you've applied before with that game, so now that's it's played I've send you an invitation, welcome to the group. :) A synopsis/review whatever is not needed, although we do like some nice screenshots of a game you win (but they are not required).

Hi corporalhitman, congratulations on playing the game or idling it. I cannot tell since you have used Steam Achievements Manager (SAM) to unlock the achievements. This is a very bad start and you should ask yourself if you should be wanting to join our group in the first place, since you aren't even capable of playing a self-chosen introduction game. Imagine you win a game you thought you would like and find out you don't after 10 minutes; I doubt that you would be able to really play it up to 5 hours then. There are many groups, I don't think this is the right one for you. I wish you all the best.

Can i apply? I mean, you guys still acepting people?
A game id like to see more people playing is Abzu (cause i think everyone should play it - not to mention seeing more of their games on pc, who knows if journey comes up someday...) and thats the first GA i want to make :)

Hi LuciferBT! Your welcome to join. It also sounds supercool that you might put some of your winnings on YouTube. ^^ The Swapper will do fine! Just as a note, you have 2.6hrs hours on record already. Have fun playing it and please check back here when you did. :)

Hi Buraticus, we are currently in the process of clearing out all our old join requests and I came across yours. I would like to know if you would still be interested to join the group?
If I won't get a reply in a week I will simply mark you as not interested to join on our list, but you would still be welcome to join once you have beaten the game :)

Hey, just out of curiosity as I am in a bundle giveaway group, where some games are given away for the sole purpose of idling them for cards. They are left over bundle keys that the creator already owns or doesn't want, and they are usually the shovelware junk. On occasion I find one of those that is actually fun, but mostly the game is not worth the cards it drops. Other games I have won are games I will play, such as HOGs, FPS, etc. So in some case the whole point of the giveaway is to allow the cards to be farmed and not wasted.
How do you approach that type of scenario? Is it you only have to play the games you win in this group or any and all games you win on SG?
Thanks for the information.
Comment has been collapsed.
The requirement to play games within a month only applies to games you win from this group, and it applies to all group giveaways - from what some would consider shovelware junk to AAA titles.
Games you win outside the group you are of course free to idle or never play.
Comment has been collapsed.
So basically you should only enter a giveaway you intend to play. That, of course, makes sense. I am not a +1 type of person as why do I purposefully want junk games cluttering my library. Thanks for the clarification.
Comment has been collapsed.
I mostly have HOGs to giveaway, that mostly everyone already has, so I am used to getting less than 5 entries (and no SteamGift CV) on a giveaway. I'm not sure I have time for another group at the moment, but I will definitely keep the group in mind for the future. Thanks again for the information.

Hi jims9350! Your welcome to join. I've checked and although you've played it a bit already, the main story of the game should take you 24 hours, so I'll allow it. Have fun playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut and please check back here when you did. Just as a note: You have 7.7 hours on record, played it for 2.3 hours and have 3 achievements at the moment.

Would like to join by playing Orwell. I have a couple of hours playtime but that's just from idling.

Updating to say I've now finished my first playthrough. I'll certainly be going back for another though.

I keep using this page to find games, lol. I just look at what people are offering to play, because I assume they'll pick the best game they haven't played yet, and look at it.
And yet again, I found something I didn't know that looks really cool. Wishlisted it. If you don't mind, please let me know how it was when you finish

I'd like to join please (option 1). :) Thanks.
I've won only 2 games here. I'm currently playing a game i won a few weeks ago: Human Resource Machine. I won Galactic Civ II couple days ago which I haven't yet started playing. It also doesn't have achievements so dunno how you will check.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi ZZN! Human Resource Machine you've played too much already, so that one can't do. In this case I'll allow you to play Galactic Civ II, but please make a few screenshots of some nice things and the end credits (if there are any). The main story should take you 17.5 hours. Please check back here when you've played it. :)

I played Beholder and have about half of the achievements from the base game (more than third of total are from dlc which I don't have). I may play it more to unlock other endings but for now is it fine? Some of the achievements can only be gotten by reaching the very end so you can look that up if you wanna be sure I completed it :)
Edit: Good game btw! You should play it when you catch up with your backlog.

Hello, I would like to join by playing Poly Bridge which I won recently, I already played a bit of it.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi msboring27! Sorry, but you've played that one too much already. From your winnings you could play Revolution Ace if you want, but feel free to pick another game from your Steam library if you really dislike that one. Let me know. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
I can do Revolution Ace, I can change the game if it's too bad to continue right? Do I have to 100% it or just more than half the achievement is enough?
Comment has been collapsed.
The game should take you 5 hours to finish - so even if it's bad, it would be doable to finish (and feel free to write a good negative review then as to why it's bad. :P). You don't have to care about the achievements, just play the game as you wish till the end. If after a bit of playing you find it's really bad or not your thing, you can pick another. Remember that for giveaways in this group you are always required to play it up to half of the average playtime of a game.

Bullet hell isn't usually my thing but trying it out wouldn't hurt, and it doesn't look too bad. I'll report back when I'm done.

I'm sorry but I'm realy stuck in one of the levels and I don't like the game enough to try anymore, can I change to Cave Story+ from my library?
Comment has been collapsed.
Well I beat the final boss but then I accidentally locked myself into the additional dungeon which I don't think I'm going to beat anytime soon ;_;. It's a really good game, fun gameplay and very good story Toroko and King broke my heart, I really wish there was a way to save them.
Comment has been collapsed.
I'd be interested in joining this, I've played all but one of my games(which I got like yesterday), though admittedly I barely touched Torch Cave 2... I got one achievement and realized that it was horrible, janky physics, input delay, and just very bland, so its got like 10 minutes or so of playtime, Ember Kaboom and Retro Game Crunch are super fun though, despite the lack of achievements, Gryphon Knight is still waiting but I just got it so yeah
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi Cloudmonkey98! Have fun playing Gryphon Knight Epic then and please check back when you did. :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Done, not 100% but I did get the Secret Ending, so I call that a solid finish personally!
Game's got a few flaws, couple whacky hitboxes, and I feel like the bottom of edge of Oliver should be protected by Aquila a bit more, I got a lot of hits winging my feet, but overall, a solid MegaMan inspired Shmup with some nice bosses
Also a good bit more time then I actually spent playing... passing out or just going for a nap with it still on does that to your playtime.... my KH2 saves can attest to that Glares at maxed out timer

Thank you, and glad to join, if and when I do a GA, It'll be nice knowing it'll actually likely get played

Hi BabyCorgi! That's a nice way to get a feel about the group. All you really have to know is that all group giveaways you win must be played within a month and likewise you can expect that every member who wins your giveaway(s) must also play them within a month. Not really that much more too it. :) Invitation was send, I'm curious to see your first giveaway!
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi BabyCorgi, your profile went to private while one of the group rules it that you need to have a public profile. Please change it back to public at your earliest convenience if you like to remain part of the group. Please understand that this is needed in order to check if you are playing the games you may win in this group.
Comment has been collapsed.
I have changed it back to public. I understand why it is needed but since I haven't won anything, keeping it private would be no problem since there is nothing to check. That's what I thought at least. Still, is it possible to keep private occasionally until 1st win? Thanks for the reminder.
Comment has been collapsed.
The group tool crawls all members every day to update. Most members just have it public and don't bother or think about it anymore; what would be a reason to occasionally switch it until you win something?
Comment has been collapsed.
I keep my profile private occasionally, eg. when playing multiplayer games, or some other times. This has not to do anything with SG or PA. And as I mentioned before, when you win, you will be monitored but one with no wins doesn't need that maybe.
Comment has been collapsed.
Agreed, but I still don't get when you do win something, playing multiplayer games or "other times" is then not an issue anymore. Anyway, I've added a note to your profile about it and thanks for playing by the rules and changing it back to public for now.
Comment has been collapsed.
I appreciate it.
I still don't get when you do win something, playing multiplayer games or "other times" is then not an issue anymore.
It may or may not be an issue, but I will have to deal with it by not bothering about keeping profile public, or if worst comes to worst, having to leave the group if I must keep a private profile. Either way, I understand, but I hope it doesn't come to that. :)

Just as a note: you have 3.3hrs on record.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi Jesus20281! That's a bit too fast, the median time reported for this game is 3 hours and 45 minutes. Given that it was only reported by five persons is giving you some space, but 1.5 hours is not enough. Please play it some more/finish the main story and then check back here. :)

Allright, for now I´m done playing this game. Played through the story and most of the extra-stuff and unlocked most of the achievements.. the missing few are all below 1.5% global completion, so I´d say I gave it a good run :)
Hope this qualifies ^^

Hi, I've entered the group and I won this game: http://store.steampowered.com/app/466500/35MM/
I started playing it but after some time of playing it turned out not to be as good as I thought. I've continued playing till more than half the average playtime (not idling it, legit playing it), but I got kicked from the group. I just wanted to know what I've done wrong to be kicked.
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi Renaleteto! I've updated the game with accurate data, so you can see what the average player got for this game. What we considered a decent attempt can be found in our FAQ, point 7. Because you didn't thanked the giveaway creator, you did not get a reminder about that. Recently we've modified the tool to allow more accurate data, since it's not always very clear what is a "decent attempt" is. Also we've introduced giveaway creator approvals, currently meaning we still approve the giveaways, but if the giveaway creator is happy with it, we'll take that as positive sign. From your story here and indeed the stats confirming you did gave it a good attempt. Since I'm the giveaway creator in this case, I've now approved the giveaway and by doing so undid your kick. I've send you another group invitation too, feel free to accept or ignore.

Thank you very much for your answer and your invitation for the group, I've already accepted it and I'm happy to be part of this group again! ;)

Introduction
Playing Appreciated is a group for members that like to play games they win and for giveaway creators that like to see their games getting played. This sounds simple, yet requires committent and dedication from members by filtering out games they like to play from all group giveaways and when won playing those within one month. In return members will get higher chances of winning games they want and creators will know their giveaways have a high chance of getting played. The group has more than 1000 members and over 25000 historical giveaways.
