And here I am again with all the nosiness you never wanted and liked.

Sitting here on my fat ass wondering just how long it took you to get to your current CV level.

Took me all of my 4 years to get to my 5.62. Hopefully I can finally get a job so I can give more back.

I feel bad that I can't. :(

Blacklists be DAMNED! I feel like asking anyway!

I registered in April 2013 but i didn't even know what sg really is and I forgot about it for over a year. Then in October 2014 i got guickly lvl 2 but i left steamgifts because I didn't won anything and i lost my patience for it. Finally i returned in December 2015 and since then i reached lvl 10 in 23 months (December 2015 - January 2018).

It took me exactly 2 years days to get to level 10. I was marking every one of them on my calendar, because everyone knows the really good stuff doesn't happen until you hit the big ten-oh. Yeah no, nothing happened. And no, there's no hidden GA in here, but props to you if you checked it for that.

EDIT: revised the time after Delta pointed out that the graph will retroactively change if prices change. Weird, but fortunately I found the post where I celebrated the actual event.

graph can either not affect you at all, or affect you a lot - depends on your GAs ;p If someone made only GAs for less than 5 ppl in SGv1 he could be 5kCV=lvl10 and become lvl 0 in SGv2 in most extreme circumstances. I myself went down from over 6k CV to below lvl 9 during transition.

I coasted at level 1 for a while, but I've hopped up to level 3 over the course of the last month or so. I'll probably slow down and coast here for a little bit, though.

I'm job hunting, too, so I feel your pain. In 2016, I was in a similar situation to yours, trying to find a job after getting laid off. This time around, I'm still employed while looking, and it's better, but still a chore. Good luck! If you're trying to get out of retail, what kind of job are you looking for, if you don't mind the question?

Years. My birthday in 2016 got me the last bit needed. Price drops on some stuff means the date now shows as early 2017 though.

I started May 2016, and I will be lvl 8 in about 3-4 days, so about 2 years.

Level 4 wasn't as hard back in the day, it took me a while to get to level 5 though. Sadly I've been more than half my time on SG in level 5 so I doubt I'll reach 6.

Joined 4 years ago, and was really active back then. Stopped checking consistently until recently. Reached level 4 a few days ago, but was level 3 for the first few years.

That's a strange question. The possible answers I see are:

  • The time from my registration date to the date my last giveaway was marked as received.
  • The time from when levels were introduced (SG2 launch) to the date my last giveaway was marked as received.

Pick the one that matches your view of the world.

A year to get to level 9 and then I didn't want to give games to this site anymore. Decided to gift games instead to people deserving ;)

I registered in Jan 2013 and was on 5000$/Level 10 in Jun 2015, so a little more than 2 years, with the current system. If I remember correctly, I was at 5000$ CV long before SG2 and then dropped quite a bit before reaching Level 10 again. But I really don't remember how it was exactly.

Almost 11 months to level 6. My GAs come from bundles, or bundled games though. I hope I can afford some full value games soon. :)
Anyway, have fun!

Took me 2 years to get to level 8 but I don't consider this a sprint race, more like a marathon. I know I would probably get bored of this site if I was level 10 so I am in no hurry to get there.

I got to level 6 during the first two years, mostly because i was also giving non bundled titles. Now i can only afford to give only cheap bundled titles because i don't have much money to spare, until i'll eventually find another decent job.
