DEFINITELY!
you SHOULD try Saints Row 2, it is a GREAT game!
the only problem i had with it is that sometimes randomly after 1 hour + it has a chance to crash, so just save regularly after every couple of missions and you should be good :)

Saints Row 2 is a lot more clever in its humor than SR:III (as is SR:IV). It has some major problems, but I think it's a great game and worth a try.

Stillwater is a way better city.
It also has twice as much content as the third and probably IV.

I really didnt care for #3 at all and #4 is just not fun at all.
2, however, is the pinnacle of all sandbox games.

I loved it on Xbox. I don't often finish sandbox games (never finished GTA 4) but SR2 was fun from start to finish :)

Honestly, what I'm wondering is why you didn't play it already. It sounds like you've had for a while, no?

yes absolutely! i loved SR2 it's pretty funny even with this crappy conversion + side missions are better than most in 3rd and 4th + Insurance Fraud is ten times better than in 3 and 4, check that out!

As most people will say, YES!Is more serious then SR3, but when it came out, it was the craziest game of it's kind as far as I know, so expect to have a lot of fun. Also get the Gentleman of the Row mod or what was it called....

Saints Row IV references the past quite a bit. If you haven't played SR2 (like me, cos I didn't have the time to figure out the fixes) that could spoil the story a bit for when you do try SR2 (I don't know how much of this stuff went down in SR 1 or 2 though as I've played neither).
For that reason, I'd recommend playing it before 4 if you can. The Gentlemen of the Row mod is supposed to fix a lot of the engine issues. Just not sure if all the other mods they made are optional.

Just finished Saints Row: The Third earlier tonight along with The Trouble With Clones DLC. I want to play Saints Row IV, but while I managed to win it a week ago, the user gifting it told me he needs to get a replacement copy first as his Russian purchased copy is region locked and can only be activated within Russia. So yay for waiting.
Had this one sitting in the backlog for a while, since the Amazon THQ sale (and wish I knew the future so I could have given it away and waited for the Humble Deep Silver Bundle) and considering making a start on it while I play the waiting game. I have done a couple of missions before to see how well it would run, and didn't suffer any technical problems at the time, so that hopefully won't be a worry while playing.
