Guess who's a sucker for horror :P A few that comes to mind:
Good for now <3

Bump! And I'm going to go a little sideways and recommend a not-really-scary horror movie with Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. I switch up most of the movies I watch for Halloween each year, but I always make it a point to watch Tucker & Dale. It's such goofy fun and it still has the "spirit" (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) of the slasher genre.

Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness - of course :)
Ginger Snaps - best teen werewolf movie ever
Re-Animator - goofy offbeat take on HP Lovecraft
The Descent - if you like visceral horror, and it seems you do, The Descent is for you
Terrific horror coming out of Korea:
The Wailing
Mother
I Saw the Devil
The Quiet Family
Not sure what you mean by "old", but there are also many old classics worth your time if you know how to appreciate that kind of thing.

holy fuck, seeing the name Ginger Snaps was like being slapped in the face with nostalgia. i remember watching a shitty rip of it on youtube over a decade ago and really enjoying it. forgot about it until now, so thank you. lots of great suggestions, thank you, wrote quite a few down to my endless list of movies to watch!

Bump!
Most of my recommendations have already been mentioned: But I'll add a few more:
Grave (Raw) - french film about a vegan university student who discovers certain cravings. more of a thriller, but I hope it counts.
REC (the spanish film) - there are 4 films in the series. the first is the best, but the others have some charm, too.
Mad God - the best stop-motion film I've ever seen. supposedly took 3 decades to make.
Noroi - japanese docu-horror, pretty famous for being among the best in its niche. probably won't knock your socks off, but it has some good scenes.
Creep (2004) - woman is chased in the London subway tunnels by a ratman-type creature. kinda B-grade, but decent.
Creep (2014) - not-quite-horror, but unsettling. the sequel isn't bad, either. I hear there's a third on the way.
Eden lake - we aren't tough enough on kids, I stg.
The midnight meat train - also kind of B-grade, but it stars a couple of familiar faces.

ok, one more: The hitcher (2007) - a remake of an older film. I prefer this one because Sean Bean plays the murderous hitchhiker.

Thanks for the ride! :)
Some I would say, like the French Inside (=one of my top) or some Korean-Japanese ones, have already been mentioned. So I'll add in random order some lesser known, but also very good ones in my opinion:
Secuestrados
El espinazo del diablo
Tesis
La cara oculta
Mientras duermes
Big Bad Wolves
Uncanny

I was planning on waiting until October to create some spooky horror trains, but then i realised that the end of my summer vacation is more frightening than anything to do with Halloween. all 5 trains are posted, 10 horror or horror-adjacent games within each one. No level restrictions. Each train is locked behind a jigsaw puzzle with art from some of my favorite recent-ish horror movies. I would love to hear suggestions for more horror movies both old and new to watch if anyone has any. I read them all even if I can't respond to everyone. Good luck!!
