I was planning on waiting until October to create some spooky horror trains, but then i realised that the end of my summer vacation is more frightening than anything to do with Halloween. all 5 trains are posted, 10 horror or horror-adjacent games within each one. No level restrictions. Each train is locked behind a jigsaw puzzle with art from some of my favorite recent-ish horror movies. I would love to hear suggestions for more horror movies both old and new to watch if anyone has any. I read them all even if I can't respond to everyone. Good luck!!

Some wonderful suggestions above which I can 2nd:
Cube, Ringu (horrible), It Follows, Pan's Labyrinth (I don't think of this as a horror despite the fact I find it scary), Cabin in the Woods, Triangle, Barbarian (one to go into without researching), Midsommar (horrible), Let the Right One In (which is the original of Let Me In), Audition (my favourite), Get Out, Tucker & Dale vs Evil (great comedy horror), Ginger Snaps, Happy Death Day.

Barbarian was going to be my suggestion for something recent, but instead I'll say I enjoyed The Menu, and I'm looking forward to watching Evil Dead Rise and Talk to Me.

Honorable mentions from my IMDB ratings:
Shaun of the Dead (THE comedy horror),
Only Lovers Left Alive (vampires but I don't remember it as a horror),
Censor (a kinda weird indie),
Scream (of course),
Existenz,
The Lost Boys,
Men,
Saint Maud (really creepy),
The Babysitter films are entertaining,
w Delta z (don't remember this as a horror, except for the torture),
Event Horizon,
Zombeavers (mostly for the credits song),
The Girl Next Door (horrible).

Who knew I had such a lot of opinions on horror films.

Bump for solved!
I honestly enjoyed these jigidis, especially the second. Which game is it from?
Also, thanks, Johamburger, for the trains - plural!

I almost forgot your recommendation:
Tales of Halloween (2015)

It's fan art of the movie Hereditary, one of my favorites that I've seen in recent years. A difficult watch, but definitely worth it. Thanks for the recommendation, never heard of that one, adding to my list :-D

As for a recommendation, try House by Nobuhiko Obayashi. Watched it last Halloween, definitely not a conventional horror movie but it's a classic I fell in love with immediately.

Self-bump now that all five trains are available.

Another recommendation is 964 Pinocchio by Shozin Fukui. Arguably less conventional than the movie I mentioned a few days prior, didn't like it as much because it was a bit hard to parse but I think the idea is that it's something to 'experience' or whatever.

OK, The Wretched was actually pretty good.

I just didn't get the opening scene of the movie - which was supposed to happen AFTER the events of the movie? Who is the woman in the basement? Why is the man 'feeding' it?
Or is it there just to show that the witch is still alive?

I remembered as if the movie was taking place in the 80s and that scene was somewhere afterwards the main events... I found it out of place and providing nothing additonal content to the story, just being there to give an extra scare to the viewer.

Did you watch the whole movie?

Of course. It didn't have much to do and I felt it needed further explanation who those people were and what happened there exactly.

That opening scene is the only weak/pointless part of the otherwise fine movie.

Thanks!

I love horror but not exactly a fan of horror movies as most are pretty bad, often not scary at all. On the other hand, I can't handle horror games at all. Maybe you can try some ourself.
Anyway, here're a few movies:
The Wailing
The Uninvited
A Quiet Place
