Civ IV is actually in it. HITMAN 2 is also pretty valuable. But I agree. Many of those games are great, but considering many have been in monthlies and are sold quite cheap on key sites, the price seems a bit high.
Asking for games like DMC5 or Monster Hunter World is nonsense, of course. It's a bundle. Expect bundle quality. Can't really expect getting 60+€ true value for 12€. :)

A single key is "only" 5€, for 12 you get 3 games ;) doesn't change much that expecting games that fgo for 30-60€ depending on their sales for a few € is just a naive thing. Advertisements don't follow wishful thinking, they try to grab people in. ( at least elite is applicable in a way that the games have good content / money value even at this price, but as you and others said, were a lot cheaper in the past, or in other places)

My dream would be to buy it and get Dirt Rally (just finished Dirt 3 and now am 75% done with Showdown and am kind of desperate for it), Hitman 2 and one of the LEGO games, but I know it won't happen.
It's hard to resist the temptation to get this, but it'll be for the best to not get it. I know, it's pathetic and whatever, but still :D

I understand the gambling thrills, but practically speaking, you would do much better saving the money to buy the game direct, or buy a cheaper bundle with good games and try to trade it in...rather than the 1 in X chance to get the game you really want...specially at this bundle's prices x_x

Oh, totally. But that's always the case.
The appeal is that maybe you don't have to pay as much. Not to mentioned the added thrill of just the randomness of it.
For Dirt Rally I'd agree. I can get the game for 6.5€, so that 1.5€ extra will basically be a fee of assurance. But for Hitman 2 Gold, the extra 85€ isn't exactly that anymore. That's why this lootbox is so enticing. It has games that might not be amazingly great value with its price compared to the lootbox's price, but you still want it. And then the added bonus of having a chance at the top tier game like Hitman 2 is also really enticing.
I won't buy it though. I've slowly been getting over the urge. But regardless, they've kind of nailed the formula here. Though, Steamgifts itself is helping them too by showing all these great games being available.

I understand, just trying to help dissuade that urge ^^ we're not breaking any news here but I personally find going over the "why not do it" helps me give up the urge in some cases :p luckily, the price of this box dissuades me fine.

About the game listing, i tell myself that the list is so big, for every 1 person who gets the game I want, dozens more get something else instead shrug I agree with the logic, vote with your wallet...dont pay them for this gamble-like system and perhaps in time they will make better deals instead of lootboxes

On the other, their value isn't that great.
But then again, based off of these comments... Eh, first of all, this isn't gambling. Second of all, the games might not be "rare" or w/e, but they are still valuable.
