Well, from what I've heard, I don't actually own the game. The storytelling is a bit interesting (Master tactician tells you what he's doing) and the harder difficulties are also interesting (Asin, replay the same game and multiply the enemy stats by a certain number).
EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8CBbeSAjVo&feature=relmfu "Issues with Diablo 3: Poor Implementation of Difficulty" to give you some insight. I recommend to check the rest of his Issues with Diablo 3 videos :)

I really don't think the rmah ruins the game any because you're not forced to use it. It's also a good way for people who work a lot and don't have the time to farm gear/gold to buy some items to progress without need to buy gold from gold farmers. It's also a nice way to make a few dollars if you sell some good items.

Actually, making RMAH caused few decisions that makes people hate D3 - main two are always-online and poor loot (which, in the end, makes you go to AH and buy new stuff). First one is bad, because Blizzard admitted most of D3 players are playing alone (but that might change when one day PvP will show up). Second one is bad because one of the main reason to play D1 or D2 ("more looot, neeeed mooore looot") disappears.

Personally the RMAH is the worst part about that game. It just feels so slimey. Sure its awesome if someone just bought that super sweet weapon... but ugh.
Other then that, I don't hate it, I just don't want to spend 60 dollars on it. Kinda not my cup of tea, so that reinforces the whole not wanting to spend 60 dollars.
I picked up Torchlight 2 though, at-least with that I won't feel as bad if I don't like it.

I would not call d3 bad. But it was way to easy and dumbed down tbh..
Thats something in miss in games today, hard challange, its like Blizzard only wants to make games that awards you for doing nothing... pretty sad im0. But its what the majority wants.
Still would not call it a bad game as such

The first 3 difficulties was lile one big torturial for me and then on Inferno I felt it was too easy aswell.. I didnt have to buy any stuff at all.. I litterly cruised went to Inferno and max lvl in less then a week and had it on farm in act 2/3/4 after the week... Now. There was also way to much spam on the AH with cheap stuff (yes cheap) you could litterly farm gold for a few days and buy you pretty decent gear...
But all in all the game is good.. just too easy.

I dont know about all the games Ive played since 2000-2012, but in recent memory...
Just Cause 2
COD: BO
Far Cry 2
Dawn of War II
VOID
All the Zombie shooter/trapped dead/alien w.e like games.
DNF was NOT as bad as people said about it. Yes, if you were expecting something made from god to make you jizz in your pants just from playing then yes it was. Overhyped yes, but not horrible. Rather play through DNF a few more times then play through DoWII, or Just Cause 2...

JC2 is heaps better than JC1, at least it doesnt look like lego men haha

I pirated it, played the first "tut" level which was a pain in the arse. I then tried to dredge through the 2nd area where you have to climb the tower or w/e and was like "screw it". Might not have giving it a "fair" chance, but I really didnt like it. Your free to send me a copy, I will play through it till completion if I have to.

Hello. thread :D Duke nukem is NOT bad game, if you been dissapionted after buying it - STOP creating such threads and go eat smth, rly. This game is not even trying to be good, its a parody, ffs xD
Same with postal 3 - it IS shit, but it was CREATED to be shit, its the thing that makes this game different from other faceless projects.
Plus, if you people CANT understand a difference between DISSAPOINTING and BAD game.... go play good games for a while, and then try, just TRY to create your OWN thoughts about game you PLAYED a little, not juse read at the forems smth like "oh, johny123 told that Diablo 3 is bad, hhahahahahahaha, i never player D2 and ill tell everyone that D3 is bad, only because i belive johny123, and people will think im smart, huehuehue", and so on. really.
p.s. - IMO - 90% of people here have NEVER played bad games or worst games of this decade, because STEAM DOES NOT RELEASE THEM.
p.p.s I cant see stronghold 3 here, Dragon age 2, Mass effect 3 and so on - go, call them worst because you didnt like the ending\was too lazy to complete them.
p.p.p.s - worst games, imo - 1) Harry potter (any game after 5th)
2)Any faceless korean MMO"RPG" (with 3-4 exceptions)
3)Tons af games, made with media licenses (games about TV shows, movies (90% crap), TV series)
4)And, because i live in russia, 98% of russian-made games. 1-2 diamonds per year and 30-40 pieces of crap.
In conclusion: try, just TRY to thing with your own head, sometimes it helps.

Bunch of my friends were bugging me to get D3, heck even my sister was. I was on the fence about it and I thought having friends/family to play with would of made it more enjoyable since I'm not a big fan of that kind of game. Almost broke down and bought it the day of release but I heard of it being a mess. So for now I'll pass until it price drops.
I did pick up Torchlight 2 though... $20 is far less of a hit then 60 if I decide its not my cup of tea.

its fun until u beat the game once, btw normal difficulty is a joke u need to beat it at least 2 times to get a real challenge which makes the game boring, the enemies are repetitive most of the time most of them are just resskinned enemies with more life and damage, the story its kind of lame, and the cutscenes looks awesome but there is only a few and don't improve much the story, at the end of the game (inferno) you will need to gear up your char this not sound bad because daiblo is about loot but thanks to blizzard and their great idea of a money action house is a pain in the ass because the nerf the drops and most of the farming ways to get nice stuff or gold which makes this a waste of time in your life, also this is a language lock game (yeah this is horrible if u arent from EU or USA you are forced to hear and read an awful translation) and have awful drm.
this and other stuff makes this game a waste of money for that full price because this is not that great for $60 and is kind of lame this took to activision-blizzard "6 years" of development and it isnt finish they didn't resale the pvp.

For a second I thought you said Dungeons of Dredmor.
I was about to maul your shit.
That said... seriously what the heck is with that game and its DLC, I played the moble version on my droid was okay but hard as heck to control so I tried the demo on steam. It wasn't bad from the little I played but not fantastic. The idea behind the game is cool but 30 DLC is a bit much. Thats why I picked up Orcs Must Die instead.
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't really see what's wrong with the DLC. It can all be picked up really cheap on sales, and a good portion of them are just skin packs anyway so you could simply not buy them if you didn't want to.
A game with seriously twisted DLC is that one train one, forget the name, with like $3,000 worth of DLC >.>
Comment has been collapsed.
True it can be picked up for a fraction of the price or avoided... but that shouldn't excuse it. Not to mention a so-so game should focus on better gameplay or re-ballance or bug fixing. Not Halloween Costumes and Halloween Maps. (Which are seperate... not cool)
And that 3k DLC game is Train Simulator. I won't get started on that.

The Easy answer is The Sims.
Don't get me wrong I LOVED the Sims. I own 1 and a few of its expansions, 2, and 3.
I understand additional stuff over the years has changed in the way things go in terms of content/price, but I always got enough enjoyment out of the base games. The expansions I got for 1 added a little more play time but not enough to justify buying more and more. Heck I couldn't convince my parents to keep buying expansions for sims 1 when I was younger. Buying them now as an adult at 20-30 a pop?! Now I see why I got /DENIED.
Though I suppose going back and playing the early ones now since they're dirt cheap is a viable option. But not enough to do it.

Diablo 3
Skyrim
Mass effect
Call of duty
There is not a single chance that any of those and many other mentioned qualify into the top 5 worst games of 1999-2012, and this coming from someone who hates CoD, ME and Skyrim.

I know right? Game I don't like = instant shit game.

1.) Anything to do with WoW.
2.) GTA 4
3.) Duke Nukem Forever
4.) Anything to do with the Sims
5.) Secret of the Magic Crystals
I completely agree with Duke Nukem, but I could never put COD down, those are quality games (even with recycled content and a short single player campaign). Almost everyone here has played them and almost everyone here will eventually play Black Ops 2. Stop getting annoyed with the series because Activision are pricks.

original far cry wasn't that bad.. it looked amazin at least. And Stalker was not great but I wouldn't call it like worst game of all time. Boiling Point was FAR worse for a similar sandbox FPSRPG attempt.

you don't like games!
i didn't like bf3 myself but it's not a the worst game of all time. its multiplayer section was wonderful.

people think by saying that they hate halo or cod or diablo and belittling such big games, now they're different and someone special! THE HELL you hate these games! this is really embarrassing! to say that you hate GTA 4 cos of bad PC mapping! We're not talking about some games in which you suck in multiplayer or you didn't enjoy as much, but the worst game of the modern era.
For me Turning Point Fall of Liberty was shameful! such a horrible game. Bad controls & idiot AI, ...
Yeah and I really didn't like and disappointed by FarCry2.

Yeah man, Homefront I think was up there for its vile propaganda.
But really, the worst games are things like minesweeper, boring and stupid haha.

I don't think that more than 5 legitimatelly shit games were actually named in this thread. Almost every single game was made in the last 3 years and "it's the worst game in the past 13 years" only because whoever posted it didn't like it or was disappointed by it. OP should change the title to something along the lines of: "Your top 5 most disappointing games"
