I suspect the "waiting room" page is a default thing displayed by their webserver when it's under heavy load. Just a trick so users don't refresh again, and watch an ad instead. I'm not sure about that, of course, it's just a feeling.

2) You are in a country or region that is not eligible to receive a key.
3) A key has already been assigned to you.
Damn, I waited 30 minutes, I end up getting an error. The third time I participate in the draws with them and every time I make mistakes. Looks like a scam.

Well, it shows, that keys are still there, but still I get the message, that:

True, i don't get what's so "fun" giving giveaway with no value here, just pure satisfaction? Or taking piss on people because they took someone else's chance to get multiple keys?
I get it if the games are from bundles and they already own it or the deal happened long ago, but not with other reasons, also my feed is literally being spammed by tons of killing floor 2 giveaways as well, a bit annoying honestly.

I rarely manage to grab something. And I won't pay botters, I'll rather stay without game or buy from Steam. I'm just hiding now KF2 giveaways, I wouldn't enjoy winning it like that.

Indeed. I agree with that. I have no problems with someone giving away 1 copy if they've spent the time to wait and grab one for a giveaway. But anything else is taking the piss.

Aye, and it's for reasons like that that free game giveaways should be time sensitive. I mentioned that to a dev who was frustrated over people making several discord accounts to get extra keys and the game appearing on grey market in large numbers. He was like yep, good idea and announced that all unactivated keys would be useless 48 hours after giveaway end. Honestly, they were just doing something nice for people at the height of the lockdown and weren't prepared for the madness. Imagine being repaid like that. I was so angry because the devs seemed like really nice people... and I blacklisted a few people here for making more than 10 GAs of that one. lol

I can understand the frustration seeing bots and multi accounts snatching most of the keys. People using these methods deserve to be blacklisted. On the other hand a company doing a giveaway has some responsibility for a fair key distribution too.
If I look at the shitty poorly designed giveaways on Steelseries it's clear for me their main intention isn't giving away game keys but keeping people in a waiting room watching ads as long as possible.

A huge warning on that waiting room. "Unactivated keys will expire within 12 hours" would solve most issues and ensure people either activate right away, or when they get home from work. There would be no excuse for complaints with a warning there before they even get to the key. You would see some GAs here, but the vast majority of resellers and traders would be wasting their time setting up bots to steal keys. And you'd see times in the waiting room reduce as less assholes bombard the site.
