Only so much can be done with regards to large third party publishers. The reason why we're looking into indie devs is that they should have a greater affinity toward the public than larger companies like Ubisoft or EA, and as such they shouldn't be treating their customers so poorly. It's similar to your local store and your huge Walmart, who don't give a sh*t about their customers and are motivated purely by profit margins.

People needs to set some sort of quality standard. If the game didn't pass it, then don't buy it. In that way developers will be forced to create good quality content and everyone will be happy: gamers enjoying and devs receiving money

Your argument makes no logical sense imo.
Stop being bitter.
Food costs money, but giving food away to people doesn't hurt you.
Games cost money, but giving games away to people doesn't hurt you.

Your argument makes no sense. The games that I give away are my own choice - my own making. I've heard this before when I was arguing against Bethesda for the ridiculous price of their Fallout 4 here and elsewhere. I already bought the game (and thus it wasn't an issue about whether or not I could afford the game at all), but the principles around which they based their price disparities. If I was wrong then they wouldn't have reduced the price of the game would they? They since reduced the price of Fallout 4 by £10 here (US$17)!

Price disparities due to regional situations do not correlate with developer game giveaways.

I don't see your point. If you were to support a local food store over a huge supermarket like Walmart only for the local food store to treat you like sh*t, I'm sure you'd do something about it. Anyway I don't need to justify anything to people like yourself who cannot understand the fight. I'm only wasting my time.

I understand it completely. I just disagree with it. I believe in freedom, not restriction -- especially for indie developers and small publishers.

I may be bitter about these things but at least I can say I'm doing something about it which is something you can't say.

I don't give a sh*t who you are. I'd rather represent the consumer rather than the ignorant retard who's happy to splash the cash whenever required.

You're not representing anyone but yourself. And the insults show the weight of your argument -- which is feather-light.

Well it must be lightweight for Bethesda to listen to mine and others' arguments and to subsequently reduce the price of Fallout 4. Goodbye. This is the last time I'll reply to you!

Just stick to what you know best; playing the pleb who readily accepts whatever garbage is thrown at them. Challenging anything is really not your cup of tea - don't worry I can tell that already by how you fail to understand that the initiative is meant to represent the consumer and nothing else. Talk about corporate fanboyism.

I'm the pleb? Your entire argument is a plebeian problem. You're complaining about being left out. It's called jealousy. Corporate fanboyism? I just said indie devs and small pubs, where do you get me supporting corps? You're misguided m8.

You're the one who said "Stop being bitter." Being bitter is totally misguided when I'm trying to represent you stupid arse.

So if some guy was totally ripping someone off short of stealing their money, and you tell the guy getting ripped off to "Stop being bitter." how do you think you'd react exactly? I've had enough of talking to you anyway.

What's the aim here though? I mean what do you plan to do with the group?

Who knows really. I'm just an ordinary bloke trying to do my best to make others aware that something needs to be done to protect the consumer. We have to remember that the public have no safeguards when it comes to supporting these initiatives like Steam bundles or crowd-funding campaigns. A private company (Private Limited company here in the UK or LLC in the U.S) means that the owner is exempt of any financial burden should the company fail - so for instance should a publishing company become bankrupt the owner is regarded as a separate entity to that of the company and as such is protected in case things go wrong. Assuming no fraud has taken place, they will not be personally liable for any financial losses made by the limited company. The public who fund initiatives such as Greenlight bundles and Kickstarter campaigns are afforded no such pleasure. It's just started, so it will no doubt evolve.

I'm not really sure what do you want to target. Are you concerned about some false promises, or general quality of released games? If later, then it's actually users who are responsible for current state of things. Apart from that, thanks for giveaway.

I'm going to echo some of the other comments here... I understand the issue, and depending on how it's addressed, it might be a good thing, but I'm not sure... What does the group plan to achieve and how? It's not clear what the purpose of it or of joining it will be.
It's not clear what 'what is right' means, and what kind of negative experience you are talking about. It sounds like there's so much subjectivity to it, and it might end up making the environment even more toxic to consumers and developers alike than it already can be.

So I've had enough of some of these games and their developers who rip consumers off in some way or other, and who are allowed to continue to be featured within various bundles. Games like Zombie Zoeds (formerly Zombie Zoids or something ridiculous) and Journey of the Light spring to mind.
Please join if you want to make your voices heard.
Now on to the giveaway.
