A special system? Hm probably not. Let's start with the second question. It did probably take 20+ attempts and some abandoned tries. So it comes basically down to trying over and over again and after some time (around try four or five) memorization.
I do normally one or two test runs to get the picture and to find landmarks. Those are areas which I think that are easier. For #3 those have been the coast and water side, the grey parking area and the club house on the down right side, the big lake top right, the small lake top left and the other lakes down again. And to a certain degree the top right corner. Those are the tiles I could recognize imediately and already pull into the genereal direction they belong to. The rest is then a bit luck dependent and after many tries you will memorize those to although more in a subconcious way.

Solving jigidi slower than given base time (-1p/15 sec)

Those point reductions seem to brutal and multiple Jigidi's aren't fun ...

Oops, just realized I made a mistake in one of my submissions -- I solved the puzzle in 500 seconds, but typed in the number 560... There is no way to fix it, right? :(
Oh, well, at least I got it wrong to the other side, so no one will think badly of my intentions (only of my Math Skills).

will be a way to fix it, i think tomorrow. will be less points though, i don't think minute one way or the another would be worth resubmission, though. i have written resubmission part already, just need to write point calculation first to implement it into live website

Hmmm... If I reset the submission, do I reset the negative points for "lying in form"? If yes, then it is definitely worth it resetting my mistake. If not, I agree, 1 minute will not help much.

there's a lot of people with negative points, few even below few hundred negative, might be a chance to fix that

Hm, yea my thinking was limited. I was just thinking in case someone has positive points since a resubmission most likely will have some kind of (percentual) penalty. But I see the purpose in this now.

Yea, know that from sending important emails at a time I should not send them ..... The 10th? The Black and White picture? I'm having major troubles with this one -_- Although I have to admit the main reason I don't like it is that unrealistic top time O.o I'm honestly doubting that this is even possible. Even more astounding is the fact that the player stats seem to imply that he does every Jigidi at most two times before getting those times ...... Well, back to the 10th and trying to gain some more seconds ^^

there are over 500 unchecked submissions, it took me hour yesterday to check like 150, it takes a lot of time to check even without comments like yours. rules are rules, check what you submit more carefully as i understand you fu*ked up resubmission, so you made it wrong at least once before

Yeah, my error before was that I submitted a picture of my time as it was not stated you had to screenshot the site with leaderboard and username - my error, I was new to the site and didn't see the little "Your time: x:xx" at the bottom.
It's okay, its your event, your rules, it's sad to invest so much time and screw it up with one wrong thing, but well. Jigidis were still fun and I'll continue them. I didn't mean to be rude or stress you out, I'm sorry if that came across that way. It's a really great event you made here.

Yea the screenshot thing was unclear for me as well, all this time i been randomly submitting the proper screen shot or the shot just before the leaderboards with the time only... Only discovered the help section was showing actual help today so i got to see my past submissions and found that half my submissions include a proper screenshot the rest have the completed screen. Is it worth it to resubmit just the screenshot?

ineligible screenshot gives you -100 points. so, unless you did jigidi in really bad time, i mean really bad, than resubmission will give you positive result, unless you fu*k something up on resubmission

I have a quick question, why are my screenshots considered ineligible when I entered time in seconds (that was the format until today) and captured everything that was required (solving time w/ jigidi picture and my profile name on the side)? great that it wasn't available earlier. I use different user name on jigidi than here hence I wanted to include my SG name I can't see why is that so bothering in this case when the proof is visible and clear anyway.

because checking takes a lot of time, so i firstly check for reference screenshot as the one that needs to be uploaded, if it ain't there, you get an ineligible screenshot option and i move on. i don't even have enough time to check all screenshots, i have no intentions to check around your screenshot, under, behind etc.

Well, I still don't get it as there is nothing really to be checked around. You have the time in the very middle of a screenshot and that should be it. My username behind is for the proof I did this and no one else.
As I said, the jigidi account I am using does not match my user name here thus I feel this way is less confusing (w.g. http://i.imgur.com/PAh5GYl.png). At the very beginning you described rules as "screenshot w/ time and username" with no further specifications and from the very beginning I do it as said, haven't checked help later on cause I had no reason for that until first points received tonight.

if you were only one like this, i would think about it, but you're not. if agree to your variant, i need to recheck others, that's more time to check. it takes time away from other submissions or adding new features, fixing bugs, etc.
from my perspective, your resubmission is more productive than my rechecks, so no agreement on this. live with negative score or resubmit it again

Hi. I've come up with nice event with great prizes in the end. As you can see from the title, this event will involve jigidi puzzles (24 in total, to be exact). It will be in form of Advent calendar where you will need to solve each day's jigidi in order to get some points. More points -> Better stuff at the end.
To be more fair to people who aren't always online, each weekday puzzle will be running for 3 days and weekend puzzles will be available from friday to monday.
Jigidies will be posted at 8pm gmt+2 each day from 1st December to 24th December.
