I have a few - mostly highly replayable games that I just boot up when I'm not really sure what to do. Sandbox games are especially great for that since there's always something new to try out - Kenshi and Mount & Blade Warband are personal favorites of mine, as janky as they are. Don't Starve is also always fun
Big fan of Yakuza games as well - currently playing through Yakuza 3 after 100% Yakuza 0, Kiwami and Kiwami 2!

Minesweeper. It's always there for me when I can't focus on anything more demanding.

never thought about story heavy games as comfort zone games, interesting. Usually are games i an relax and not think too much, was Test Drive Unlimited now is Forza Horizon, or games like Terraria or Minecraft, or Project Zomboid.

Soul Blazer on SNES, and Panzer Dragoon Saga on Sega Saturn.
I've beaten both many times.

Euro Truck Simulator 2. I always love to come back from time to time and relax on it. I'm always looking forward to events just to have an excuse to play. I'm just sad I can't get the map expansions I'm missing.

Used to be R.U.S.E., but my copy is borked, and you can't buy it any more :( These days, I guess I'd say I jump between it being Space Engineers, Farming Sim 22, and Wurm Unlimited.

Definitively the Zelda games of the N64 era.
Can always go back to Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask and enjoy playing them for the I don't know how manyth time:)
Also enjoyed playing Sudeki several times and guess I could go for another round.

Half Life (especially the first), and Final Fantasy VIII.
The Balamb Garden theme song always gives me the feeling of returning to a home I've been away from for a loooong-long time.

Good question! I'd say Apex Legends, only cause I get to play with my friends when I play.
Single player: Rimworld, Madden or CK I'd say

Final Fantasy VIII -- walking around Balamb Garden is practically like walking in a virtual backyard (or, well, garden) of my childhood. Suikoden 2 is exciting to return to every time, and I suspect Yakuza 0 will be the same way (though I won't revisit that one until I've played through 3-6). Jumping into any Tekken game (well, any post-Tekken 1 Tekken game) is also a chill, almost second nature-type thing. I have a bunch of comfort food games, though I try not to return to them too frequently and risk in any way getting desensitized to them.

And by that I mean a game to which you can come back and enjoy it every time.
I finished the Yakuza series some time ago, but just recetly decided to play Yakuza 0 once again. And that's my "comfort zone" game. I love everything about this title... great, touching story, hilarious substories, enjoyable minigames, awesome fighting styles, Majima ♥
I even learned how to play Mahjong specifically for the completion list in Yakuza 0 and now I really like it, heh!
So, what's your "comfort zone" game?
