I don't hate it. I'm not particularly interested in it and don't know enough about it to hate it.
Never played it, Battlefield or Medal of Honor and could easily get them mixed up with each other. Just not my thing really.

Because I own Black Ops II. And boy, does it suck.
Let me start with the multiplayer, because apparently that's why everyone plays the game. It's okay, but the guns feel like toys, they're uninspiring, unreactive, and none of them feel like actual guns. You could reduce the game to just clicking on people and it'd still feel the same. In smaller maps, especially Nuketown, which doesn't even show up half of the time despite pre-ordering it, you just get spawnkilled over and over and over again by some asshole with an endless scorestreak. It's like playing chess with shotglasses, where every single time you lose a piece you take a shot. Once someone gets ahead they stay ahead.
Don't even get me started on the lag comp. I have gotten kills by aiming behind people, in front of people, and lost plenty of shots that were dead on. The supposed 'killcam' is so out of sync that I don't even know what's going on. Hits should be registered client-side, although this is probably more Comcast's fault that Activision's.
Earlier, when I was talking about the game simply being clicking on people? It's worse than that. In fact, you don't even get to click on people with uninspiring guns. They present little red squares and hexagons to click on for you. Because you can't see what people are, they give you a freaking target finder that highlights people for you. It's not even a game anymore. It's a mouseclicking simulator. All the scorestreaks are the same, because they too have little red hexagons.
Enough about multiplayer. Lemme try singleplayer.
Nope. Horses don't count for inspiring gameplay. I'm sorry, but I don't remember making any choices.
Don't even get me started on Zombies. Fucking shit, I ragequit Zombies, uninstalled it, and then reinstalled it about a few months later. Still sucked. Why the fuck is there fire freaking everywhere? That's not a problem, except that zombies on fire EXPLODE in your face and blur your vision. HUMAN BEINGS DO NOT EXPLODE WHILE THEY ARE ON FIRE. AS FAR AS I AM AWARE TRANZIT OCCURS IN NORTH AMERICA AND NOT THE MIDDLE EAST. THERE ARE NO EXPLODING PEOPLE HERE. Not only that, it takes two hits to get downed by a zombie, and the gameplay has no proper difficulty curve whatsoever. Zombies spawn in the center of the fucking map, rather than from good barricade points. The coding behind the mystery box is disgusting, because at one point I and 3 other random strangers all had the raygun. In wave 6. That's bullshit. TranZit isn't even so much of an interactive experience as it is a couple of disconnected sections connected with a foggy loading screen bus ride. It's terrible. Absolutely terrible. And it's boring, too.

But the box shouldn't be totally random. Proper, balanced, repeatable gameplay, especially in a game that gives you a score at the end, shouldn't rely on pure luck. Having a team of 4 rayguns early makes no sense. Having the box give you nothing but revolvers and then disappearing every time someone uses it also makes no sense. I understand some element of randomization, but balance is more important.

Don't like army games. Don't like casual army games. Don't like casual and easy army games that take no skill to be good. Don't like corporate, scum hollywood, casual and easy army games that take no skill to win. Don't like corporate, scum hollywood, casual and easy army games that take no skill to win, are corny, and are played by every wannabe thug and ghetto ass scumbag on the planet. I also don't like games like MADDEN where they feel the need to make 1 or 2 every single year just to make more money without enhancing the game hardly any. There is no love when COD is developed... it's just a predictable high budget game that is good enough to get most people to like it. It's certainly not a real FPS game, nor is it a real game. My opinion.
You mad bro? Yes, I'm mad.

I enjoy the "same game every year" argument so much as it can be applied to so many different games.
The most well loved example I can think of are the Civilization games which aside from some little tweaks and obvious graphical improvements have remained the same since the first game!
I have really enjoyed the CoD games I have played and I stopped at 4, but I hate the 'BRO GAMER' bullshit that goes with the "community" today so I wouldn't say that I hate Call Of Duty itself, but that I share my hate between two separate entities:
1) Activision.
Imagine what a talented developer like Treyarch (among other talented developers who have worked on the CoD series in the past) could give us out of the unfair time constraints and ridiculous profit-based mentality of the AAA suits.
2) People.
For the most part, you're all a bunch of childish, immature idiots who believe that because you have an opinion you are some how right and have the right to ridicule and bully others who have differing opinions to you. I hate you all, and I hate you MORE if you self-describe as a "GAMER" and think that CoD is the best franchise ever. You get EVEN MORE hate if you buy into the Console Wars propaganda, pretend you like Majora's Mask better than Ocarina of Time because "it's darker" and/or have a "Let's Play" channel on YouTube in which you just obnoxiously talk over cutscenes, make rape/racist/homophobic jokes over the main game and get frustrated at games that you HAVEN'T EVEN BOTHERED TO PLAY BEFORE RECOR... explodes
Authors Note: The previous statements were supposed to be taken lightly. I actually love everyone.

I enjoy the games for what they are, that being fairly standard (albeit increasingly tired and uninspired) first-person shooters with some really fun set bits.
What I hate are the obsessive fans. You know, the sort who'll say "Yeh bro! I'm a gamer! I totally play COD and Madden!" The sort who will pre-order the games, stock up on doritos and mountain dew, then sit around for hours playing it with their bros online shouting about ridiculous things such as 360 no-scopes. That crap is just annoying and makes me wanna go after that sort with a can of Axe and a lighter.

I personally enjoyed the old ones since they portrayed real life wars. I've not played the latest (MW3, BLOPS etc) but i heard they are made up stories about fake future wars. If so, it belongs in the sci fi section.
That being said, i have no quarrel with the games themselves. But A) the developers and B) the playerbase
Let's take a look shall we.
A) The developers are money hungry evil bastards. Now i understand, business is business. But when you bring out a map pack that costs $20. someone in that business needs to go fuck themselves. HARD!
B) the playerbase. Now before i offend any of you, this is not my intention. But i lost interesting in playing online when a 12 year old kid called me a "faggot virgin pussy" and told me he was going to "360 noscope" me.
now, i understand the insult. not that a child of his age should be saying such things. but WHAT THE FUCK IS A 360 NOSCOPE?
So those are my quarrels. enjoy reading.

Not worth paying over $100 a year on. (including the dlc) Nowhere near enough content and barely any improvements from previous games to be worth it, half the multiplayer maps they have on them are just copy pasted from previous cod games with very minor changes and the rest are half assed maps that noone wants to play. The dlc packs almost always have 1 map that is any good and the other 2 or 3 are junk noone likes.
I used to love cod, but mw2 was the last one i spent more than a dozen or so hours playing. Bought and played all of the cod games a few of them i bought more than once on multiple platforms, except ghost which i don't plan on buying or future cod games.

Lazy, expensive and recycling material from past call of duty games..
Just remake all past WWII Call of duty games into one giant awesome one with all the maps and perks and such then call it a day. (Also remake the modern warfare series to todays graphics too ;))

Ya know, seeing people bash Call of Duty can be fun, so can bashing it. But it can be annoying when people don't give legitimate reasons for hating it. So I want to know- Why do you hate (or not hate) Call of Duty? Now, I want to clarify that "Call of Duty" has 2 categories. 1. The Franchise, 2. The Individual games. The franchise includes its fanbase and would include the classic "Same game every year" reason. I expect it to be easy to bash that section. But what about the games? I want to know what makes each Call of Duty game bad. They're well made, albeit a short Campaign. They have tons of weapons, classes, maps, and game modes. So I want you to give me reasons for both. And if you can only bash the franchise, well then we can safely say that your opinions mean nothing. Here is where I stand:
I like the games. While I don't think buying a new CoD every year for $60(Prices are included in franchise), buying a game every few years is perfectly fine. I think the games are pretty fun, and I would play them when I could, just not buy them. As I said before, lots of weapons, maps, and game modes. It's addicting and fun to play with friends. The campagin can leave something to be desired, but I play it for the multiplayer anyways.
