Favourite Anime - Green Green - It's a funny casual anime on school vacation. All boys school + all girl school in the same vacation. It's an ecchi genre (not hentai), so don't watch it where you shouldn't :P
Favourite Manga - Sun Ken Rock - It's a manga on Korean gang. It's like "Young and dangerous" movie but with korean gang theme. Currently reading this. Give it a try.

1)Favorite Anime and why: I have seen so many... I can't pick one: One Piece, Bleach, Naruto, Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho, Fairy Tail, Mushi-Shi and so on...
2)Favorite Manga and why: I don't read manga.

1) Sword Art Online. I love anime and I love games. Combine both and you get SWO :D I thought the idea of getting stuck in a game (even Virtual Reality which is even better) interesting and started to love the anime. You have that OP character, but even he has limits, first meeting the admin and the dungeon in the second season.
2) Beelzebub. I liked the anime, but the manga is (like usually) better. It has unexpected changes in the story (most of the time) and likeable characters. Many fights and not that much romance luckily.

1) Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo cause the main girl in the anime is unique in a way which kinda makes it interesting plus the storyline is awesome!
2) Doraemon because the gadgets in there are pretty cool! (Would seriously love to try them out) Can never get tired reading it over and over again :D

For Dirty Pair, well, Kei reminds me of my best friend from college - red head, and a big troublemaker :) Yuri is badass in her own way too. It's aged a fair bit now (I laugh at things like them actually plugging themselves in to a "neural interface"), but I still think it's awesome in a mindless entertainment/look at how much chaos they cause kind of way.
With Full Metal Alchemist, as I said, I'm not a big Manga reader so there may be better stuff out there, but I like the depth and maturity to the story. The morality of the military, and the effects of the war is just as interesting (if not more, to me) than the story of Edward. What's weird is that I've tried to watch the anime and I couldn't get into it, but I do enjoy the Manga.

Favorite Anime: .hack//Sign because while it wasn't the first anime I watched it was the first one that got me really interested in it. The story, setting and characters I thought were well done and it enticed me into the video games, mangas, and other series.
Favorite Manga: One Piece, because it's been great from the start and hasn't ever really gotten stale. Even the worst arc (Skypiea) was still enjoyable the first time I read it, although I do skip it every time I reread the series.

Um... explain why something is funny? Ok... I'll try.
It's the whacky kind of humor, where not everything needs to make sense. Most of the time it doesn't take itself very seriously. :P
The main cast (which gets really big really fast) if full of different characters, all of which have just the right flaws and ambitions to make for a huge mess when combined. Also all of them are jerks or idiots to some extend so that helps too.
(You can probably get these stuff by reading the Wikipedia page but, oh well, I'm gonna explain them anyway.)
The name comes from the main character- Ranma. One of the main things about the anime/manga is that there is this valley of cursed springs where anyone who falls into one of the springs is "cursed" turn into whatever last drowned in them when splashed with cold water (hot water reverses it until the next cold splash). That's only physics. Ranma fell into the "Spring of Drowned Girl". This obviously leads to a lot of awkward situations when water gets involved (for example one of his rivals fell in love with "her" while wanting to kill "him"... and never actually got it that they are the same person because he's a moron). Other "cursed" characters turn into animals. You'd probably think that would be pretty much the entire plot... well, it's not, it's more like 1/3. He's also engaged to 4 girls because his father is a jerk and he can't keep his mouth shut most of the time (well, more like engaged to 2, considered her "husband" by another due to the most bizarre tribal law ever, and the 4-th one is just completely nuts). He's also a martial artist(not the realistic type), being trained since he was 6, so rivals and challengers in different and sometimes really weird "styles" of martial arts keep challenging him (this is the show that has "Martial Arts Dining" and "Martial Arts Tea Ceremony" as legit styles). Most of his regular rivals also want him dead because they happen to be in love which one of his fiancees. Of course, none of them ever succeed or even get close because it's not that kind of a show.
So, yeah... that's why it's funny. Hope I "explained" it well enough. Btw, I totally recommend it. :)

1) K. It's undoubtedly the only anime that has made me shed a tear aside from Clannad, and does have its funny moments.
2) Comedy and fights wise, it's gotta be Beelzebub. The humor in that is great. Apart from that, To Love-Ru and the sequel Darkness.

1- Hellsing Ultimate, the animation is great, the action is great, the characters are great. Overall it's just the most enjoyable experience I've had watching an anime.
2- Berserk, easily the best manga I've ever read. Dark, insane, doesn't pull any punches.

Anime - Trigun, because it has a great story with good morals, great voice actors, lots of funny humor, and lots of good action. Cowboy Bebop would come in second for me, followed by Dragon Ball.
Manga - Dragon Ball. Its really the only manga I've read but I enjoyed it a lot. I plan on getting the Claymore series manga when I get more money.
