1) Anime - I don't necessarily have one favorite, but one of my favorites is Bakemonogatari, because the humor is great, the characters I love, I like the story of the monogatari series, how it all connects, and Araragi is an amazing protagonist.

2) Manga - I've been enjoying Liar Game quite a bit lately. It's really interesting, seeing what all these games tests and seeing how Akiyama is so damn smart, and how he can turn a lot of bad situations into good ones.

Anime- Robotech because it was the reason I started to watch Anime. Great fight scenes and of course a great storyline

Manga- Love Hina because it's hilarious and a decent love story

Anime: Code Geass- Especially R2. Why? Something shocking happens every goddamn episode and I love it. Oh, and land/air robit fights. Can't go wrong with robit fights.

Manga: Death Note- Amazing story, character development, and concept. Smart as hell, too. Always keeps you guessing.

Hellsing ultimate because it was adapted from the manga and was fantastic.
Bleach because it was a series that gotten me into writing fanfiction.

Anime : Tiger and Bunny : Tiger is so adorably goofy and sweet and thats just my kind of character that makes a show amazing ~

Manga : Gantz , God damn i love the more violent dark actiony type genre and gantz is everything i find interesting : speaking of which! TY Whit to remind me to check out some things manga/anime related thanks to ur thread<3

1)Favorite Anime and why

Fullmetal Alchemist. Why? isn't it obvious? Ed and Al endured through all that crazyness, pain and suffer just to achieve the most noble wish... if you watched the anime or at least the ovas you know what I'm talking about.

2)Favorite Manga and why
Ermm not readed many of them so either Gantz (still a whole lot of columes/tomes to get and read. Why? because it's gantz! it has futuristic tech, has blood, violence, sex and all kinds of cool sh!t that I dig :)

Not sure if it counts in your book, but I'd also "nominate" The walking dead, comic/manga ofcourse, it has to be the best of all I ever read, not anime tho, that's why I drop 2 "options"

Anime: Excel Saga - Used to go through so many anime series, way too many... but Excel Saga was great when I started burning out on them because it was just a great parody of all the genres.

Manga: Haven't really gone through much so can't comment on many. Was pleasantly surprised by Naruto though in contrast to the anime of it, differences in the style of humor mainly. Sorry I can talk more on graphic novels, but haven't had too much time or a good starting point to splurge on manga, and I've only really been bouncing along the surface of graphic novels or comic books either.

Favourite Anime and Why? Infinite Ryvius - I loved it, the raw emotions of people after having to survive on their own, and with a majority of them being young and inexperienced. That and cool space battles, everybody loves some giant things getting blown apart.

Favourite Manga and Why? Bloody Monday - The idea of a computer genius, me being a a computer lover, working on the side of justice and taking physical action in sync with his cyber actions. That is just awesome! I just can't get over how much of a genius you'd have to be to set all that up, and how crazy fast you'd have to be.

2) Flowers of Evil for the same reasons, rotoscoping in anime was a ballsy move and it packed out well! Also, the characters and the in-depth look at their psyche and interaction is truly amazing.

1. Highschool DxD, because I like OPPAI :D...But seriously..It's a comedy, action based anime...The PLOT is awesome if you know what I mean. :DDD
2. Rosario-Vampire II, I like the romance and action in it, but the chapters come out ones a month...So maybe..Naruto, I guess...Both manga have amazing and intense action fighting scenes.

Currently about to finish Genshiken 2, my favorite all time anime is Bakuman (IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL ;_; )

Favorite manga... Well, I have tons of manga but I really only did read Naruto, up to chapter 8 or something (Pathetic, I know. But I'm a newbie otaku, only a few months in this thing.)

My favourite anime is Fate /stay night or others from Nasuverse. And why? Because Saber and furthermore its really remarkable universe.

And favourite manga, that will be probably Medaka box, because there are a lot of interesting characters.

My favorite anime is probably Ookami to Koushinryou, I felt like screaming for more when the anime ended.

My favorite manga is Ichigo 100%, I loved it so much that I couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks.
