Favorite Anime: Dragon Ball (Z, GT)

Because it was one of the first animes I watched and spent my entire childhood and adolescence following the adventures of Goku and the Z Warriors And I also helped several times Goku to make Genkidama. ---

Favorite Manga: Hunter x Hunter

I had tried to read some other manga but I could never keep reading because I thought boring. But the manga Hunter x Hunter was the only one made me read each "page" with increasingly will continue until the end.

favorite manga: Dorohedoro. The story is interesting and fits very well in the gritty atmosphere.

Favorite Anime: Mirai Nikki-oh hot diggedy dog this show is good! Tons of intense action that will literally grip you to the edge of your seat, some weird romance that's kinda 1-sided completely, drama, and awesome characters. Not to mention an awesome concept! It's my fav! ;)

Favorite Manga: I actually don't have one because I don't read manga. I'm a strictly anime watcher for now. :)

Looks nice, would like to join :)

Hmm thats hard, 1. probably Code Geass+Code Geass R2 because the story keeps you on the tips of your toes, and the "filler" episodes aren't really fillers, they always give some more information of the main plot, so they are pretty great.

  1. I don't read that much manga to be honest, but probably would be Full Metal Alchemist, love that story, great characters and awesome storytelling throughout it.

We can only list one favorite? What kind of sadist are you!? Well anyways:

  1. Death Note, because of the interesting psychological and moral questions it raises, set in a fantastic story with unique characters
  2. Can we count Manhwa too? If so: The Breaker because it is an awesome story of one guy with an unbreakable will busting up the secret world of martial arts. If not: (well, probably Death Note again, but that would be boring to list it twice, so...) Hajime No Ippo, also a story about a guy with an unbreakable will in the Boxing ring. It's really fascinating learning about all the strategy that goes on inside a boxing ring, and the training that happens, etc.. etc..

1)My favorite Anime is Pom Poko. It is the single movie that got me into anime in general. I remember staying up until 4 in the morning on a school night just mesmerized with it. However, that is not why it is my favorite. I love it for the characters, the art style (switching from realistic to cartoon-like graphics), and the overall message. I truly cared for the characters by the end of the movie. It left me with the feeling that my whole perspective was changed.

2) My favorite Manga, Barefoot Gen, also happens to be the first Manga I ever read. This one stands out for me because of its brutal realism. Faces melt, maggots bore through bodies, and no character is safe from the grasp of death. I remember reading the first volume and then running out the next day to buy all the other volumes that my bookstore carried. Like Pom Poko, after reading Barefoot Gen I felt like I couldn't help but see the world differently now.

Favourite anime - Dragon Ball / Z. I just love the characters and the story, intense fights (but long), funny moments... Watching Goku grow up and then the anime ending was just sad.

Favourite manga - Bleach. I really liked the Soul Society Arc (my favorite) but the rest was pretty good too, I read all the chapters so far and I can say it's something I enjoy and don't regret reading.

1) God, okay, it's really, really hard to pick one from all my favourites. Nana was probably my first or one of the first real animes I watched. I loved the songs and the characters, especially Nana Osaki her style is mind blowing, I love it. I got to admit I liked Vampire Knight a lot too, guess it's a Supernatural thing I have. Recently I've been watching Attack on Titan and considering all the action and the constructive way the story is written, it's just so interesting. Even though I liked all of these I got to say my favourite is Sword Art Online due to my especial love for video games (VRMMOs is a thing we all wish for) and all the feels it gave me because of Kirito and Asuna's relationship, since the relationship I have is, well... similar, somewhat. >_>

2) I don't really read manga. <_<

Favorite Anime and Manga: Black Lagoon

This anime is very realistic and dark, the plot goes through a whole world of crimes, drugs and prostitution. The characters are very charismatic, each one with a great deep history of himself. At the manga the art of Rei Hiroe is stunning very rich with details, and the emotion is much more intense.

I've always likes anime and manga's, just haven't had the time to see/read as many as I would like to ;_;

1)Favorite Anime: Most likely would have to be either One Piece or Full Metal Alchemist(Brotherhood). Both are amazing animes that can be hilarious at times, or sad at others, and both can be completely badass when they need.

2)Favorite Manga: Death Note for it's epic story and really awesome characters

Anime - I will go with Darker Than Black. Because it best pulls at the strings of my heart and BK-201 is the amazing Electric Batman. And I love Yin. And outside of the fuck-up with season 2, they did a fantastic job with the story and great character development. And most of all, probably the soundtrack. Oh man, dat soundtrack.

Manga - Ugh, it's a close battle between Psyren and Breaker & Breaker: New Waves (first series ended, second ongoing, same series though, it's kind of like two seasons so out of a singular show so far - FYI), with Breaker series probably winning in the end.

It would not do justice to either of those mangas to explain why I love them, because I would need to talk a lot about them and may every well spoil them. Psyren is a finished, very mature sci-fi manga, containing a few similarities to the popular tv show Heroes. But better on every possible level. Breaker series is a mature borderline supernatural martial arts manga, focusing on a struggling young boy on the verge of a complete breakdown within the harsh society of his little world, finding salvation thanks to an unwilling master, as well as discovering a new world of pain. Both literally and metaphorically speaking.

I know I don't qualify, but I still wanted to spread the word so more people enjoy these fantastic works of art.

Oh, right, forgot to add some samples of said amazing soundtrack of DTB. Here, here, and here. Might as well add this too. Ah, why the hell not, there's never going to be enough, have another one.

Oh, I'm gonna add to the manga sections of must read, for those looking for some good slice-of-life series:
Nozoki Ana (very long, almost finished manga, ecchi-borderline-hentai, with great humor and superb story) and Renai Shimasen Ka (a cute, little bit ecchi here and there, humorous love story, ongoing).

2.) Death Note, preferred the ending of the manga over the anime.

Oh yes, Berserk is awesome. A bit hard to get into at first, for some, mostly because of the aged quality of the artwork (at least it seemed like that for me)

Favorite Anime would be green jacket Lupin III (with GITS and Cowboy Bebop close behind). I like how laid back and cool that series was, although I also liked the Red jacket series.

Favorite Manga would be Lone Wolf and Cub, I just like the story and the baby cart!

I'd like an invite please, I'm always looking for new things to watch, (Thanks for mentioning Ergo Proxy in this thread, it looks good!)

1) Steins;Gate. Every episode was epic and the awesomeness was exponencially going up every ep.

2) Nisekoi. I'm from a brazilian scanlator and we make this project, so... it's evident that this manga is my favorite. Reason? It's fun at every chapter seeing the characteres and situations with a good comedy without cliches being exaggerated.
