Harvestmen are not spiders and closer to scorpions than spiders.

Hmm, indeed that's true. Though interestingly that one also called as "Daddy long-legs" but is actually a spider. Today, I get rid of a big confusion it seems because I always thought they were the same in my childhood hence the name.
Okay then, here is an interesting fact: They're always shaking because their pacemaker located on their legs. :)

The smell of chlorine in a pool is not depended on the amount of chlorine in the pool, but rather the amount of urine. As the chlorine has a chemical reaction with the urine, making the smell of chlorine stronger.

thank you, I feel so repulsed that I have drank tap water in past that smelled strongly of chlorine

Your are welcome my good sir, but probably also with other chemicals. So I think you are safe with tap water, but not with swimming pools

Isn't everything radioactive.. .given enough time for decay to take place?

Recently a paper came out about the flying "cousin" of dinosaurs, pterosaurs, notable for their huge headcrests made of feathers, had the genetic ability to alter color of feathers (proving that coloring and feathers have a long evolutionary link). Another interesting fact, pterosaurs are the 2nd animals (after the insect kingdom) to evolve powered flight.

Here's one I just learned this morning:
Some molluscs can propel themselves through water by flapping their shell open and closed, and forcing water out in little jets behind them to push them so they skip through the water.

Spotted hyenas are the largest of three hyena species. Brown and striped hyenas are the other two. Although hyenas appear similar to dogs, they are actually more closely related to cats. They live throughout much of Africa and eastwards through Arabia to India.

Some sharks are ovoviviparous which means the eggs hatch inside the female's body, then are born. However, with some kinds of sharks, the numbers of eggs that hatch don't match up with the number of pups born. Do you know why? Cannibalism. When the eggs hatch, the pups resort to cannibalizing their siblings in the mother's belly. From the moment they are born, the fratricide begins. Other than itself, every other pup is fodder.

Did you know your phone is more powerful (as more processing power) than the computer that took us to the moon.
Wait, you do?
Ok then...
Did you know THE CHARGER OF YOUR PHONE is more powerful than the computer that took us to the moon?

I will expand on the double slit experiment visualization.
I bet moochy's linked video is educational and will explain how it works.
Something interesting I remember from my time studying physics is.. that elementary particles aren't the only things that behave both like wave and a particle. How big can we go? How large.. things.. can have both behaviors? There is a particular scientist (Anton Zeilinger), who tested that.Carbon-60 molecules have wave-particle duality. C60 molecules are 6 magnitudes bigger than neutrons. This is my fun fact.
Now let's have a little fantasy and creepiness. In 2018 Anton Zeilinger expressed that he is interested in performing a similar experiment on viruses. He believes, that viruses would also behave as a particle and as a wave at the same time. Unfortunately, due to covid outbreak this experiment hasn't become a reality. But if he is right, that's super eerie. Viruses are not really alive creatures, yet they aren't just dead atoms.
Edit: it's been a while since I dealt with numbers of that size. C60 is 1000000 times bigger than a neutron.

Zebras best defense is that they all look the same. If you would mark one Zebra with red paint it will stand out and be killed first by predators.

here is one for you :
Babies have around 100 more bones than adults
Babies have about 300 bones at birth, with cartilage between many of them. This extra flexibility helps them pass through the birth canal and also allows for rapid growth. With age, many of the bones fuse, leaving 206 bones that make up an average adult skeleton.
