A gravely overlooked and fantasticly cozy game is Lost Words: Beyond the Page.
It's also sad though, but the cozy kind of sad.

Not a big fan of bugs, but the cute pixel art ones are alright, haha. This could be a fun little virtual pet game (legit haven't played one since the Tamagotchi era), not sure about the story-driven part though, so we'll see.

I hope they don't keep dying on me like my old Tamagotchi. Despite not complaining when it woke me up at night and sneaking a few button presses during class, I was still somehow a horrible pet owner. Although I'm guessing quite a few of them died of old age, so I might not be that horrible after all.

yeah, it beeps, an angel comes to take its soul, then it tells you how old it was when it died. At least the version I had did that. I had mine in the late 90s, so I don't know if any of the latter versions had no death.

Oh yeah, I remember the angel thing now. Guess I just didn't care enough lol, I had a cat back then, so I wasn't emotionally invested in Tamagotchi at all, it was just the coolest thing to have at the time and I wanted one so bad, I even remember what random near my school I bought it from and which friend I was with when I did haha. I wonder what happened to it after all though, I usually keep it my memory as to what happened to most memorable items I've had, but not this one.

Many of these have their links manipulated in a way for bot protection. Look at the link, it should look like this:

Name of the game doesn't matter, you don't need to change it if it's different, but if you find anything that doesn't fit the template above before the name of the game, you'll want to change that in the address bar.
For example, if the game code has more than 5 characters, the word "giveaway" is replaced by something else, or the link has some extra words before the 5-character code you may need to delete...etc. Usually, the clues to the changes you need to make to the link are either in the comment or the link itself.
For my own bot-protected giveaways, I prefer not to make them cumbersome, it's enough to delete the unwanted portion within the 5-character code and press enter (remember, anything that comes after the 5-character code doesn't matter.)

Our cats are cool with mice, they're just here to chill, just like everyone else. Plus there's no such thing as too many cats, only not enough cats, so I say keep 'em coming. 😼 But speaking of mice, there is a recently released cozy game where you play as one: The Spirit and the Mouse. Probably not worth the full price, but a decent game to grab on sale, I think.

Yeah, I meant online, cause obviously it's very different irl, and atm I don't "own" a cat anymore either, and doubt that I'll ever have another one. But as far as enjoying cats online and when visiting someone who has one (or two, or three) irl go, there's never enough of it for me.

Multiple reasons, none of which are health related thankfully, but when I think about the main reasons unfortunately none of them would be fit for the thread due to being too heavy, so I guess here's a more minor one: you never know which cat you'll get, a cuddly loving one or a cold asshole haha. I know people who take good care of their cats and tried hard to get them to warm up to them for years, and they still just barely tolerate human's company and don't even care for any pets. I also very much prefer cuddly cats and apparently many of them hate being picked up or put on your lap, etc. I've also heard stories of cats showing much love at the shelter, but after being brought home doing a complete 180 lol. So, it would probably pretty hard for me to find a perfect cat, especially since my previous and only one was almost perfect for me.

I see. I don't know what it's like to have only one cat. I imagine they will be calmer when other cat(s) are around. And of course they are much cuddlier when they know you for their whole life.

Unfortunately not the case, I've done some prolonged cat sitting with different cats for my relatives/friends several times, and some of them weren't nice at all lol. Btw you reminded me of another reason, which is that right now I probably wouldn't go for just one cat, cause it kinda wouldn't feel good to have the cat in apartment alone and sad and lonely, and having more than one would definitely be too much for me. But yeah, never say never and all that, so ask me again in a couple of years heh.

A very(!) short one I yesterday saw in a stream and had to get myself: Magic Axolotl
Though it can be quite stressful in hard mode (I haven't managed, but my thumb is bandaged atm so I have an excuse^^), the music and animation just makes one smile and the end is especially cute. But: it is reeeeeally short, on easy mode maybe five minutes for one playthrough.
For a biiiit more lengthy and laidback experience I would also like to add Bard Harder as a VN in a tabletop setting.
Under leaves is a beautiful HOG with animals and colourful grafics I liked a lot
In Fort Meow you gotta defend your reading corner from the cats by stacking furniture above you, so I don't know if this would find a lot of players here :D

To be honest (at first) I just needed a place for my next gibs, as it so happened that I was in possession of some amount of keys for this particular type of games, but instead of going with just another one-time train I decided to make it an ongoing thread. for nowthe plan is to do GAs for this thread with games of the cozy kind on a somewhat regular basis.✽ Your giveaways of cozy games. Everyone is welcome to join me in making GAs for games that fit the theme. No strict guidelines, use your own discretion when deciding if the game is good for this thread. In general, fitting games usually have one or more of these tags on Steam: Relaxing / Family Friendly / Cozy / Wholesome / Cute / Comedy; and here are some tags that these games usually don't include: Violent / Gore / Survival / Psychological Horror / Hentai / Dark / War / Military / Dystopian (these are just some examples of some of the most popular tags). In any case, if a game seems cozy enough to you, feel free to give it away. Just make your GAs private (aka invite-only).
Special Cats tag exception: as a result of the FCDSCGC-2023 event, cats were proclaimed the mascot animal of our thread and thus any game that has a 'Cats' tag on Steam is allowed to be given away here, whether it's cozy or not.
Every active giveaway will be featured in the OP (if I'm around at the time it's running).
