I only have good things to say about Amazon support.
I once had a problem with some monitor and had to call them several times, for any other support I would have to explain my problem all over again to each different person I'd have on the phone, but with amazon I was able to have always the same guy and just needed to give update.

I purchased a kindle fire from them, typed the wrong address(which was my fault) it was shipped to the incorrect address and accepted by well no idea, but not me. They ended up refunding my entire amount without any hassle. Amazing support.

I just hope other companies come across threads like these and start providing service more along these lines. I've personally made almost all of my online purchases through Newegg and Amazon and they've both been nothing but the best service. It's scenarios like these which make me happy that all my recommendations continue to go to them.

Although I won't say that I haven't had times where their service was lacking somewhere, I still have to say that Amazon is probably the most customer-satisfactory place of business. Definitely a loyal customer =).

During the Square Enix bundle when the Supreme Commander 2 keys were actually activating supreme commander 1, they told me to keep the SC1 I activated (like I had a choice, but still the right attitude) issued me an additional key (which turned out to be for SC1), and immediately shipped a boxed copy of SC2 to make sure I got the game. They let me keep both Supreme Commander 1 copies, and before my box copy of SC2 even arrived, I was issued a new digital key for SC2 a day later.

TL;DR Amazon gave me 2 copies of Supreme Commander and 2 copies of Supreme Commander 2 just to make absolutely sure I was happy.

Amazon's support is amazing and very good at empathizing with the customer and looking at the long run. Can't say the same about GMG

Amazon's customer service is second to none.

I've had a couple of issues, but every time they have come through, and often gone far beyond. In an age where consumers fully expect to receive an initial two fingered salute, and be forced to fight tooth and nail to get even minor issues resolved, Amazon are truly a beacon of light in the often shady world of online shopping.

Oh, and I don't work for them :)

Rather than bashing on Amazon, as I have no such stories, let me instead one-up this "greatest support" claim.
I was ordering a computer from Dell, and made a mistake. -My- error. I'd selected a cheaper printer, when the more expensive printer/scanner was what I'd wanted. Didn't realize this until I'd completed the order. Went back to edit, found it'd already been released for shipping. So I opened negotiations with Support. This was years ago, so don't expect exact quotes.
Me: Yeah... I goofed on my order and would like to switch printers, but the order's already locked. I'm willing to pay the price difference for the change.
Support: Oh, no problem. Here's a link to a return voucher. When your order arrives, send us the printer back, and we'll ship you the one you meant to select--on us. Moreover, have a $50 gift voucher.
...Some days later, after I'd made the swap, I was on their site using said voucher code. Which required calling support again.
Me: Pardon me, I received this $50 voucher code through support a few days ago, and it's coming up invalid, already redeemed.
Support: That's unfortunate, try this one instead. ($100 voucher code)

So that's how I got a $75 printer upgrade, two sets of spare ink cartridges, and Unreal Tournament 2004 as recompense for a mistake I plainly admitted was my own fault.
