Recommended games to play on low-end PC

Battle for Wesnoth, free, open source game, it should run if you disable animated stuff and things like that!

I have a very old computer that probably runs the same games yours can, so I'll try and go through my library later and make a list for you.

SanctuaryRPG. I think even a calculator can run that game, since it's text based ASCII. Also some metroidvania games maybe, like La-Mulana.
SanctuaryRPG was my go to game when i got stuck with a netbook few weeks. Pretty good soundtrack too.
