Nice to see some List 1 activity! in this iteration 6 people went through the gate, compared to more than 50 in the previous one. I wonder if that's because I tweaked the rules, or because I called it "The Honeypot"? I'd be surprised is so many people here are familiar with the concept of a security honeypot and are afraid to enter...

Every time I've seen a game in list 1 that I didn't have, I have taken it. I wasn't around for the previous one, so I don't know what games were available, but that could be a factor. It could also be that gleam giveaways made it so the games in list one are much less scarce than they were in the previous iteration, so many of the people that went through list 1 to get the games in the previous iteration may have just received them from a gleam giveaway instead. I wouldn't guess that the name would matter, but I could easily be wrong.

List 2 is packed with keys for more than 100 games, but very few users have actually able to pass the filter (there's a reason it's called "The High Bar"). I'd like more of these keys to move, but am looking for a cool new way to do it, one that rewards the right users. If you have any ideas (beyond using the Steam wishlist), please suggest.

Good question. For Lists 1-3 the main guideline is to not be too greedy. If you feel like you're going to play a game in the near future, and aren't just hoarding, go for it. Just make sure to update the thread.
For List 5 the guideline is "One game per user; first-come, first-served. To ask for another game, play the first game and write a short review of it. Repeat for additional games."
The Wishlist Fairy hasn't defined a limit for List 4. So far there are no applicants, let alone ones for multiple games.
And for now I have enough keys for this little project, but thanks for offering :-)

Hey, I had a few thoughts for (possibly) better names for List 6: The Non-Giving-Up Guy (a Simpsons reference which perhaps too many people won't get), The Definition of Insanity, The Sisyphus, or The Hope Springs Eternal. In any case, CrazyTrain's idea for another list is pretty great because there are probably a lot of people who try to only use their wishlist for the best-of-the-best, excluding games that don't quite rate as high but are nevertheless of great interest and frequently entered for.

Can I also ask about why you have the private ratio/minimum so high for list #2? Your description says Extra generous contributors, but isn't that kind of the opposite? If it weren't for that, I'd be good. :(

Welcome to the group! Please resync your account here after joining to be able to access the GA where the keys are posted.
Regarding List #2, the parameters are based on some profiling I did based on the initial contributors to this thread and some other vocal users. Invite-only GAs are typically linked in the forum, which means people who create them are bound to be more vocal than those who only post, for example, public GAs.

I DON'T WANT TO BLACKLIST ANYONE, so please, please read this note:
The most important requirement in this thread: Do not forget to say which key you took (or tried to, and it was already used). Getting the link to a list of keys and not leaving any comment WILL get you blacklisted.
This thread is a revamped and extended successor of a previous thread with a similar concept. It inherits the same keys, adds many more, and also adds a couple of new ways to get games. I'm also moving the detailed instructions for each option into a separate comment, to make the OP a little bit more manageable. Just click the instructions link to get to the relevant comment with the details you need.
Bypass option: If you gave more than you won (in Real CV), activated all your wins, and aren't on my blacklist, just ask for any game below (from any list) and I'll send it to you via a temporary group on Steam. One game per user; first-come, first-served.
For proper record keeping, already used keys are listed in the archive :-)
If you don't pass the filters don't be too disappointed. There are additional threads for free keys - the ninja thread, and the old wishlisted games thread.
