I played a nice door kicker's like in february. But i would prefer to present you a nice little game i just played in march (because it was much more fun than the february one) ! :D
Overboard, a 5-8h long game by Inkle, the studio who made Heaven's Vault, 80 days and Pendragon.
You play a woman on a cruise ship who just pushed her husband overboard, and tries to find an alibi before the ship arrive to America.
The tone is humoristic not serious at all. Ambiance is like a cluedo.
The graphic style looks like a bit Over the Alps the visual novel where you interact posting stamps on postcards.

Door Kickers is a game I'm personally interested in playing. I got it on my library and will play it soon. I plan on seeing how the sequel is.

Oh yes, Overboard! I've heard and watched very little about it. It sounded that you've had a lot of fun. I'm glad to hear that! 😀
I will give the game a look and when I get my hands on it I may as well grab it for the jokes. 🙂

Door kickers 2 is still in development but it evolves fastly, i think it will be as good as the first one. The first is about police special forces, the second focus on military ambiance. It's a tactical planification game, the fun is : plan everything in advance and synchronise it well and then see it run smoothly ! :D
Overboard is funny and really innovative yes ! Just keep in mind that a game lasts about 10-15 minutes max, with replayability (like "groundhog day") but you'll have discovered all secrets in less than 5-8h. Take it like a short innovative experiment.

I see, so it's like No Plan B a game I've played similarly. 🤔

Noted. Sometimes, some games need to be just simple and a breeze of fresh air. I play a lot of open-world games and they keep me for hours on end. Sometimes something sweet and short in between is a must for me.

Heeeeey No plan B, it's the game that i played in february ! 😋
You're right, it's extremely similar, except than Door kickers, you can change your plan all along the mission.
And yes sometimes just a little game or a cute indie is the best to clear the head or relieve stress. Overboard corresponds perfectly to that, except that it's not infinite.

Just wanted to tell you that a huge update just has been released for No Plan B !
Game is now really unique compared to Doorkickers, and both worth to be played !

Definitely Elden Ring. Even without ultrawide support, which sucks big time.

I do, yes (been on ultrawide for 8 years). And I believe most companies don't have to address this, because they already did years ago. Most games support it right out of the box anyway. But it is a problem particularly with japanese releases. They often lack UW support (just like they sometimes used to have things like a 30fps lock when other games were already at 60+ by standard). It's generally not a big deal for me, because I don't play too many japanese games - with the exception of From games. ^^
And yes, I believe it has become a lot more popular. Not too long ago, when we had discussions about lack of UW support on the steam forum, the trolls that always come to these threads used to say that it doesn't make sense to support hardware that only 2% use. Now they talk about only 4%. So it's doubled in a rather short amount of time. Pretty sure they will soon say that it doesn't make sense to support 8% of users. ;)

It does feel that the UW community is slightly increasing. I like the productivity aspect of this monitor. It saves me so much more time and for that reason I got it. I did thought that most games picked up by now the support.
I don't play many Japanese games, but heck, I'm surprised when some games that are a lot more unpopular give the community what they need.

February was a pretty bad gaming month for me, I did not play a lot of games, and what I did sink some time into, Tales of Vesperia, turned out to be a major disappointment.
I think the best game I played was The Battle of Polytopia, which is a pretty nice bite-sized 4X strategy game.

I'm sorry to hear that! Did you win or purchased the game?

Seen it in giveaways often times. Glad to hear that it's a good game.

I bought Tales of Vesperia. It wasn't very expensive, so I mourn the time lost more than the money lost with that one. I usually enjoy the Tales of series (at least the 3d ones), even the questionable entries, like Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, but Vesperia, despite being a highly regarded one, I did not like. The godawful writing being the biggest issue.

We're in March, so we kinda concluded all games of February. Which is your favorite game you've played this February?
Note: It doesn't have to be released February 2022. It just happened for me to play one that was launched then. Yours can be different.
I've not played many other than Dying Light 2, so I probably will include that there. I have ELDEN RING, but I'm a bit bumped down by the fact that there's no widescreen support and stutter issues every now and then, so I had to give the game a pause until I get the support I need for my issues.
But let me know what was yours this February? What did you like about it and would you recommend it to somebody else?
