Homemade Pizza or restaurant bought?
That is one fine-looking pizza! We also like making things here and since pizza takeout costs about as much as our entire week's food budget, we can't really order it much. Maybe once a year. At the same time, we're not very good on the strength department, so we haven't made any for a long time. I want to though. Bought whole grain flour and I want to find a local recipe to try. Flours differ between countries, so it's a bad idea to use a recipe from a different place.
But we cook other things a lot. I have been trying a few Asian or fusion Asian dishes, mainly Korean, Chinese and Japanese. I think home cooking is good if there is time and energy and money (some things do cost more to make at home, if not for many people at a time). You are more sure about what you put in your food and how it is prepared. You can also change it to fit your taste better. It's scary, I know and not everyone can be bothered if they are busy people or find cooking stressful, but the difference in control and quality is there.

I only ever cook everything myself with fresh products, unless I go to a friend's / family's place, or to a restaurant. That does include sauce, toppings and the like.
Well, that's how I grew up. I can't stand junk food and sugary products... but then again, I'm french. We are god damn serious about our food. Still, despite the fact I have a rather healthy diet, I'm addicted to saucisson, cured ham and cheese... which means bread as well. I'm fit but my cholesterol values are a bit high... :(
Congrats on your pizza, it looks good!

Food poisoning? Dafucq, bro!?
It is a real food restaurant, not a Fast Food restaurant. Meat, pasta and all that stuff, y'know?
The kitchen can be seen (windows).

Now you got me craving pizza. I'm gonna make some dough today and the pizza tomorrow. I might make some bagels too while I have the oven on. I'll get some pictures.

Don't they cook them in a brick oven at like 800-1000 degrees? That would be a bit hard to achieve, lol.

if you do homemade pizza you can basically walk into any pizza place and ask to buy just 1 thing of dough, and it will cost like 1.25
so basically all you need to do is roll it / put flour on it and add toppings
and the dough is always fresh because thats what they make everyday in the morning

Stir-fry is made by quickly swishing around the ingredients on high heat with oil. It normally has rice or noodles with thinly cut vegetables, and pieces of meat. I like to make it with pork, soy sauce, and a frozen vegetable mix for stir-fry.

Damn, that pizza looks nice. I myslef also like homemade pizza. Maybe it doesn't look as good as yours but tastes great. The pizza dough is made by my mom (I tried few times and failed :P) the sauce and topping are mostly my part of the job. Lately things got a little easier because I 'discovered' an Italian themed shop in my neighbourhood and the got the dankest sauces I tried. Still, I enjoy doing sauce by myself, but on lazy days... ;)
Btw, I had homemade pizza today. If I would discover this thread earlier I would share photos xD

Imo people overhype homemade pizza way too much. Ill admit, it can potentially be the best, but can also be the worst if the maker doesnt know how to make it or doesn't have the proper ingredients.

Are you serious? I tried so many different recipes to get a decent pizza. Different doughs mostly and different approaches on baking them, but it never looked like this! I'm jelly. I have spent hours and days trying to make the perfect pizza and you get it first try? Shiiiieeeet!
Blacklisted for being better than me! Just kidding

Maybe or you're just a natural at this. I bookmarked the recipe and will check it out before I try to make one again. Maybe my fault was to watch too many videos and read too many recipes. I never work with measurements, I just soak it all up and then go by feeling.
I wanted to buy a pizza stone, but it seems like I don't need one to make a good pizza.

I made homemade pizza once, as homework for my foods class in my freshman year of high school. I ended up with a really large hot pocket ><

I made 2 pizzas and some bagels today. I'll put all the pictures here instead of updating my post from yesterday. I forgot to take pictures making the bagels so you don't get to see shaping or boiling them. I know there's a lot of onions and I don't really like onions like a lot of people, but these are red onions, and if you don't know, they are pretty sweet tasting and I like them a lot on pizza. Also, if you were wondering, the pizzas are about 15 inches (38cm).
-Yesterday, dough mixed
-Yesterday, dough kneaded
-Yesterday, dough split into 2, coated with olive oil and covered to go in fridge overnight
-Dough stretched
-Sauce added with garlic, oregano, and basil
-Dough and sauce partially cooked
-Cheese and toppings added (pepperoni, black olives, banana peppers, red onion) (yes, there is cheese in there somewhere)
-Cooked
-Cut up
-Closer view
-2nd pizza finished. Same, but without pepperoni
-16 bagels I made today before the pizza
-Old picture of a pepperoni pizza
-Old picture of a sicilian pizza

Yeah, it has a lot of cheese just like the 2nd one. I think I actually use a bit too much cheese.
The sicilian picture is dated Jan 18th. That was the first and only sicilian I ever made. Not sure why I haven't made another, it came out good and I like a lot of dough, then again I like thin crust pizza sometimes too. I'll have to make smaller slices though because those were huge. I used the same amount of dough I use for 2 pizzas and still only made 8 slices. The crust was literally an inch thick.

Your pizza's looking good!
Personally I find getting the dough for the bottom right the hardest part of making one.
Around here, ordering pizzas is uusually quite expensive and not very good (except in the always-crowded genuine Italian restaurant we have) . So if I'm looking for convenience I get a frozen one from the supermarket, if I have time I'll make one myself.

Hey fellow gamers,
Dupetank(Tankmaster) here. So today I made Pizza. At home. By myself. I know scary right?
I've always bought pizza from the likes of Domino's, Pizza Hut, Little Ceasar's, and Papa John's. Never did I think that I could make one myself. Cause I mean, who can rival their deliciousness? Well today I learned. I can.
I woke up this morning with one thing on my mind. I'm hungry. And a small craving for pizza. I scraped through my wallet and managed to scrounge up $8. Not good enough. To feed me and my sheeplike(cause they can't do anything for themselves) brothers I would need at least 2-3 pizzas.
Then I thought. Wait. Maybe I can MAKE THE PIZZA'S!!!!!
This in itself is a novel method of thought amongst me and my brothers. So then I hit the web, skimming through websites, and Google pages looking how to go about making pizza. I managed to wrap my head around the general idea and ingredients. But the scary part was the oven. I've never in my life used an oven. Or even thought of it.
Of course it was always there. But we(I) always used it to store random things like pots and pans(hidden cases of beer).
The process was shaky and full of nervousness. My brothers hung around behind me, practically breathing on my neck, and occasionally looked over my shoulder to see how it was going along.
This was the result.
This result made me change my attitude about restaurant bought foods and homemade foods.
To be sure there shall be more homemade food than takeout at my place from now on.
SO my question to you guys(and some gals) is. Do you make stuff at home? Specifically, have you made pizza at home before? If so, how did it go? Also any other suggestions on what I should take on next?
EDIT: How rude of me. I totally forgot to include the giveaways!!!!
Well, better late then never......

Guardians of Middle-earth
Guns of Icarus Online(3 Copies)
The Basement Collection
King's Bounty: Collector's Pack
EDIT: To those of you asking for a recipe. I followed this one to the letter. Except for the pepperoni part.
I used a 16" Pan from my local walmart(yeah yeah i know).
