Heh, I have the same concern as I just recently unlocked a very difficult achievement but my mind is halfway at ease. While it is not shown on the recent achievement on my profile, it is visible in my Steam library. So it may just be some kind of Sync needed after getting up again.

achievements page is down, the link to it doesn't even appear in recent games nor in library.. achievement unlocked are easy to re-unlock though..
but I'm kind of afraid to play more as it would feel as time "wasted" :\

Well, the achievement page I can't access too. Neither from the internet browser nor from the Steam Client itself but as I said the number differs in the libary so it is somehow saved. It isn't shown there either for you? I will add an image so that you may understand better.

Well, that is .... interesting. Did you start the game after Steam went down? Because it seems like there are different levels of screw up O.o
I have checked Wasteland 2 which I started some hours ago already and while I have no achievements they do appear in library as they should. On the other hand Day of the Tentacle which I have not started so far looks the same as that game of yours with no indication of achievements even existing although I know there are some.

Didn't check but I believe so, 'cause from the first achievement unlocked (which is a few minute after the start) the game showed the banner telling me I had unloked it but the Steam notification didn't pop-up.
How did it go btw? do you have your achievement?

Yes, it synced pretty much as soon as the down time ended. Although i'm not sure anymore if I restarted the game or if it did this automatically.

It's not uncommon to lose achievement unlocks to these outages. I'd be more concerned with potential save loss, though.

That's true, if the game in question is configured for that, or configured properly for Steam Cloud at all. Thanks to losing multiple saves over time due to these outages, I just refrain from playing anything during an outage to be safe.

Lost a couple of saves when my Windows refused to boot up recently, but I wanted to believe that it was a rare occasion nowadays :\
At least, not like when I had a PlayStation and my little brother used to overwrite my saves (happened with GranTurismo, ISS Pro Evolution, Tomb Raider and more) with a save of, let's say, Tekken 3 with one char unlocked, when there was already a save with all chars unlocked in the same memory card T_T
