Well i found one permutation that led me to a giveaway, but i'm blocked as i'm not a member of the steam group.
Did I get the wrong giveaway?
edit: Lol! Looks like I did land in the wrong giveaway, but tried again, and found your train.
But it looks like I am too greedy, as i'm not yet level 3.
Would be helpful to flag your post as this being a level 3 only giveaway.

Sorry for your loss. For me the only "greedy hoarder bastard" criteria is if you think you'll eventually play those games. So if you're entering giveaways with intention to play them before you die you're ok by me ;)

At least you're not alone, I don't get it either. Can't be bothered to bruteforce different combinations. From what I can tell the characters are supposed to be as they appear in the poll (all in upper case).
Edit: ok, figured it out, that was really dumb. Without the hint I would have never figured it out with bruteforcing.

it seems like the sequence is straightforward, but for some reason several people (myself included) get redirected to the SG main page. i've tried it in a private/incognito window and a different browser on the same device; neither takes me to the giveaway.

While that was always the case for me in my early years on the site, I haven't seen it sort for me for several years now. Neither of my scripts (Blacklist/Whitelist indicator + SGT Links in Profiles) should affect polls in any way- so if it's not a universal site change, then it could be a browser quirk (though I visit the site on multiple browsers, so it'd have to be a pretty specific one) or a different script reactivating the sorting.

No. You only own 1000 games, and you have fewer entries in 4 years than some have in 1 - and you don't make all your giveaways for small circle jerk groups while entering every public giveaway you can. TLDR - You're the kind of person I like to see win my giveaways.

it's not a word or phrase, it's just a string of 5 characters. i had been trying them in the most obvious (to me) order which didn't work, so i tried reversing it.

Seeing a good sale would tempt me even I couldn't play it, yet
Then I had more then playable amount of games and I couldn't know which game to start from.
In the past three years I only join giveaways that I would definetelly play and can't afford (Dollar/ to my currency ratio is a mess)
Then I told myself I will buy games that I will start playing right away.
And I didn't play the last three I bought.
I work on aproject and I sometimes work all day.
So by paying money that I will not play, I noticed I have been losing money.
Even an AAA game like Deathloop went on 50 percent sale.
Do I hoard things?
Yes. Because just by checking price of tolilet paper you can measure how fucked my country's economy is.

Besides my grandma passing away in January 2021, 2021 was Fanatical for me altough I wish that my skills could developed more but I didn't have a chance because of client/project I am currently assigned to. In 2022 I hope I will be assigned more creative tasks at current company. My Steam backlog kept increasing and I've bought bunch of games during Winter Sale altough I can't play them with GTX 750. And I will not buy new GPU until prices come to normal. On top of that, I've subscribed to Humble Monhtly Choice Premium for 99€.
But I still enter giveaways here. Am I greedy hoarder bastard?
