Am I greedy?

I don't think that is an uncommon behavior. My mom is currently in the final stage of cancer and could pass away anytime soon. At least from that perspective I can pretty much say... feels known somehow and I have been spending a lot on random things to compensate. So, if that would not be normal, I am neither.

Regarding your GPU problem:
You could go for one of those APU units. I am currently using the 5600G as main system even though I would have a 1070 in the other RIG... that said, if the AMD Rembrandt unit is as good as the current test might suggest, you could go for that unit to be able to do some more games at more enjoyable settings. Current rumors state results that would equal a GTX 1050 TI. Even with the 5600G or 5700G you can expect better results in newer games, than you will have with your GTX 750. I did several test on my unit and got better results than my GTX 660 OC offers. I personally would wait for the upcoming APU, because I don't expect GPU prices to normalize anytime soon.

I've got a 750 Ti. It does suck not being able to play recent major games, but a nice backlog is kind of a nice thing to have right now. It's just hard to get myself to play through things, these days..

I hope that I can get a decently priced GPU at some point, but until that happens, I suppose that I'll have to continue to whittle away at the games I have already, and the ones that I get from here and Humble. =P

No, you re not greedy, you is the only who say what is your priority for now and future, don't follow others rules. If i was in your position, probably do the same, because i can play games later, when i get a better GPU.
