Do you agree with this "cooldown" trade time?

I don´t give a... skin

For me this is totally irrelevant, because I 1) neither have CS:GO nor am I interested in items from the game and 2) I don't use skins for trading (buying or selling things).
And I never got the gambling around skins either, but I will concede that lots of people see this change as a bad thing.

The thing is, this will (most likely) be the standard for all marketable items in the near future. It's not just about CSGO, but the future of trading as we know it on steam, and, in my opinion, a good move. I actually predicted this years ago when everyone was hoarding games in their inventories and reselling for twice the actual value. Valve, and rightly so, doesn't like people making a profit off of their client.

It already was the standard. This hold already applied to community items (card, emotes, keys).

Incorrect. I think if you buy items off the market there is a hold but if you trade items there isn't. In fact I know there isn't because I trade constantly. But what I was saying is that eventually there will be a hold on all items regardless of the game, whether you buy, sell, or trade.

Fine, I had the details wrong but the point is that Valve had already laid the groundwork for theses changes and this really shouldn't come as a surprise.

should i feel bad for players who come to the game to gamble away the system and for pages that promote skin gambling?.... cause i dont.

Everyone's getting their panties in a bunch over this when we knew that it was coming. This wait already applied to community items (emotes, cards, keys, etc.), i'm just surprised it didn't happen to other items sooner.

Excuse me, where this wait was applied to community items? I still can trade all my cards, emotes, etc.. and have no 7 days wait. Only if you buy item from community marketplace you get a wait, not from trade

So I had the details wrong (purchases not trades). The point is Valve had already laid the groundwork for these changes and it was just a matter of time before they were implemented in other areas.

Untrue, this type of thing hasn't happened to community items.

But is this really a clever move for Valve? I mean, there is a clear money-making bussiness with skins trading outside of steam. Why don´t they take advantage of it instead of killing it? They could just add a fee for items that are gonna be re-traded before some reasonable time and they could also profit.

I´m not saying that would be good for us of course, but it will be wiser for valve...

What's next:
TF2 items received in trade cannot be re-traded for seven days.
Dota items received in trade cannot be re-traded for seven days.
PUBG items received in trade cannot be re-traded for seven days.
ALL items received in trade cannot be re-traded for seven days.

I do not think so....something is sure to happen but probably not the same
TF2 probably just Keys and selected items ...otherwise it would hurt TF2 too much
DOTA ;O as if there were anyone trading ^^
PUBG is not a valve game ....in the past, most non-valve games had no limitations ... now the most non-valve have a 3 Day Cooldown

Something will come who knows that
The bad thing is that this is the easiest way to go form them
the problem what they want to fight only comes through crate keys and nothing else
nothing else will ever have a stable value and in a useful amount of value that it could be used as a currency to pay or deposit
and this roughly 2€/2.50$ each are perfect

Tf2 have few items which are used as "currency" -- key, ref, rec, scrap, earbuds
If they "select" this items then it will definitely hurt to TF2 trading/comunity

"the problem what they want to fight only comes through crate keys and nothing else"
Crate keys aren't problem, case opening sites does not use Official case keys to open "cases".
They could add cooldown only for keys? They didn't so what they would do exception for tf2?

They fight against everyone who gain profit over their service and not only "gambling/case opening sites"

Metal is not marketable and the value is bound to the value of a key
i said stable value - buds are a great example for that other items wont work well....when i started trading they where @40€ now since ages 4€ -90% loss ...only if you were offline at the wrong time
I could write a novel why only keys work especially with crosstrading
Even if they change those items and they are even more - it will hurt definitely but wont kill it.

Did i ever talk about gambling or case opening sites? Valve would not even care if they did not get into trouble...litigations, bad PR etc.

If valve really had a problem with the whole trading/gambling/blackmarket stuff (they could kill it in 1 move and not every few months a restriction more) but they dont
You see this even on this current change... so the items arent tradable for 7 days but they are still marketable :o

I think they for whatever reason can't support CS:GO anymore so they try to move community to their new game.
