well TBH males live less then females, so 40 might be our middle age, BUT with some luck life expectancy will give us a bit more

It's a fairly fundamental rule. Once you are at least 30, middle age starts 10 years older than however old you are.

If you can live more than 100 then 50 is your middle age.

iam 43 now and looking, feeling and acting like 25 ;)
so 40 is no big deal. the life begins at 35,before is only the Tutorial. so you have much time left :D

That's a toughie, thanks to medical advances folks can live longer but I seem to recall the average age was going down due to the way most of us live.

Erg...yes 40 is Middle Age, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing! You are only as old as you feel. And some days I feel damn old! LOL!
