Best birthday gift you ever got.

My earlier oral sex joke aside, my LEGIT best birthday present would have to be something of a tie between the following:

1. I can no longer remember exactly what they were, but there were two or three birthdays where my mother surprised the hell out of me with books that I'd been wanting for ages but been completely unable to find - I USED to be a really good reader, before I got addicted to gaming like I am now.
2. The birthday after my mother died, my girlfriend bought me the exact same electric throw as my mother had in her final days...it wasn't physically HER blanket as my sister took that, but it was the same make/model/style/print/EVERYTHING...
3. For my last birthday, my girlfriend bought me 6 comics:
   • a Ghost Rider comic published in my year and month of birth
   • a Fantastic Four comic released on the day I was born...my actual birth day, I mean, not "just" a regular birthday
   • a complete 4-issue set of Cryptozoic Man, personally signed by all four creators - Bryan, Walt, Mike and Ming

Yes, I'm still a comic book geek, even though I've lost touch a LOT over the years, in fact the last big event I remember buying the individual comics was Marvel's whole Onslaught/Age Of Apocalypse thing...

I guess travels would be the most expensive ones and also probably the most enjoyed ones. But considering my birthday is on the middle of the summer, maybe just "an excuse" aka not really a gift :P
