Do you write reviews? o.O
PAGYWOSG is a great motivator. Though I don't get much time to play these days, but I too have never missed any PAGYWOSG event since I joined (I joined somewhat recently though, just last year end). I am thinking of joining BLAEO too. Just asked them for an invite some minutes ago.
Anyway, it's good to hear that you try to play your wins. Not everyone does that.
Oh, and a happy cake day in advance once again.

Tell me about it. >_> Lately I am playing just one or two games for the event... well maybe it's because that I have few short games to select from. ;)
That's great! BLAEO has a great community and it's easy to use, I really like it. :D
I try to do my best! :3
Thank you again. :D

In a similar situation. Completing even 1 game for PAGYWON is becoming difficult. I often find myself looking at HLTB before starting a game for PAGYWON.

That's good to hear. Hope I get in.

With that will help you BLAEO, as you can sort out your library - for example by playtime, and like that you can see how long will each win take you. ;D
Hope to see you there soon. :)

I write a review whenever I am done playing a game.
It serves as a great stopping point and I like to review the time I spent with a title instead of just letting it go without thought. Also having the review as a reminder of my thoughts has been helpful when I played a game years ago and need a refresher to jog my memory of it.

I hate the checkbox reviews. Seems like they are just churning them out and they donโt feel as personal. Also the โfunnyโ meme reviews are annoyingโฆ just put down some words about the game is that so hard? The reviews shouldnโt be a message board with random ASCII art and jokesโฆ. I love when someone has a super long review and is apologetic for it, especially when you can tell the review took longer to write than the time they spent in the game! Even small or bad games can make an impression and when that comes across in a review it is really nice to read.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I completely agree with you. :D
Everyone has a different style and what can suit one the other can hate... but there is usually enough diversity to pick from. ;) Also I think it's nice that you can find different information about the game in the reviews, some focuses more on the technical side, other on story or just on the emotions from the game. The reader then decide what is important for him. :)

If a win turns out to be not worth playing, I ask my self a few questions (and can usually instinctually go through these examples of self restraint points to keep myself from writing something angsty that isn't constructive criticism):
Is it worth my time to do something better instead of ranting?
Do I have something constructive to say?
Has someone else already expressed my point (skim read and, if so, disrespect the game by not adding another review)?
However, I do have a backlog of good reviews I should write, but I've gotten old enough that I must prioritize my free time.

Interesting approach!
If I would decide according to the third point I wouldn't be able to write anything though as I usually play games long after their release, so I suppose most of the important things were already mentioned. ^^
Of course, prioritizing of own free time is important so do only things that bring you happiness. :D

Thx for sharing. Looks like there's a whole interesting Skaufold series to play!

Hello everyone,
it's gonna be 8 years since I registered here, but I am actually celebrating just 4. I wasn't active before, I don't even remember how exactly did I stumbled upon SG... so don't get fooled by my official login year.
Over those years I have added many new games into my library, but I never had the urge to enter everything I can, so the games I have won I really wanted to play. Some of them weren't as good as I thought, but that happens and I am still grateful for them. Others were on the other hand amazing and I had some great time with them. I make a habit of thanking for my wins every time, but even so let me just say that I am grateful for the opportunity you are giving other players when you make a giveaway. I sometimes stumble upon a game I didn't know about and add it to my wishlist or buy it right away (great example is Skautfold: Shrouded in Sanity, there was so few giveaways that I couldn't wait and had to buy it ^^).
I am not much of a social type, so I don't show my presence here much, but I have participated in a few events, which I have enjoyed! I have learned a lot about puzzles, ciphers and so on. Some of them are harder for me as I am not a native English speaker, but I am always surprised by what people can create! Good job everyone. ^_^
I am not spending as much time here as when I came back, but I still check out what's new and enter some of the giveaways (although I am trying to stop, but you know, it's more powerful than me ^^).
I do my best to play my wins soon, mostly with the help of PAGYWOSG event which I joined in January 2019 for the first time. I haven't skipped once since then. :3 I still have wins to play, but I think my numbers aren't so bad, sometimes even my normal backlog needs some love. ;)
Another great helper is the BLAEO site, which allows me to neatly organize my library. I have also started to post my progress regularly there (or I try at least) and write reviews about games I complete. I dared to post some of them even on Steam and now I have over 50 of them and some seems to be rather popular :3! I would like to continue in this, because I take it as a memento for myself - how I felt about the game; and as a form of repay to the game... and it's also a way to tell the others what I liked or not. Can't say how long will this last, but for now I enjoy doing it. ^^
Okay, I think that I will end here, it turned out to be somehow nostalgic. ^^ If you read it I hope that it made a sense little bit. If you are here just for the gifts, well, there are some. Sorry to disappoint, but they are just leftovers from bundles, nothing special.
Cute or funny pics of cats, dogs, foxes, red pandas or any other animal are welcomed! <3
