Dungeon Defenders. Maybe because I'm not a fan of tower defence.

And Stalker series are great. The spooky atmosphere, anomalies, mutants and artifacts are just great. Plus it is a FPS with some RPG elements. You'll die a lot in the beginning, but once you know how to aim properly and when you got the right gun, everything is fun.

Bulletstorm storm for me :( Although the game is awesome, I had to "bug" it to get to play camping :( Stupid GFWL ... thats what i call anti-piracy when the pirated version works better (or at least works ! ) then original.

star wars knights of the old republic only because i'd already played it on xbox and i could spend my gaming time on games i haven't played yet, and then from dust and turba were both disappointing.

And Mount and Blade fire and Sword. I made hundres of hours in Warband but this FIre and Sword was a lot worse.

Fire and Sword is actually based off the original M&B, not warband. That's why it lacks a lot of features, I guess.

Total War Shogun 2. Don't like the setting. Hoped this fade away when playing, it didn't. Battlefield 3: damn EA, too many DLCs and Premium bullshit. Worst buy ever. Piece of crap, crappy publisher...hate them...cancer for you...wait..you ARE cancer for us...

STALKER SoC & CoP - far from bad, but playing them I realized I really like the sunny outdoors in my games - these are way too gloomy.

PoP The Forgotten Sands - To be fair, the page says only Win2K/XP are supported, but a number of people said it was fine on 7 x64, so I thought I'd give it a go while waiting for the next AC. Well, no go, I got a weird bug where Prince won't stop attacking after a certain combat near the beginning. Also, requires unofficial patch to get widescreen support, which decreases the FOV and stretches the menus.

GTA4 for PC - awful PC port.

Breach - doesn't even work (never made it into a server at all)

Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Plainswalkers 2011 - deck building? You mean being able to use a sideboard? Yeah, we got that! What, you wanted to be able to tactically select what mana you wanted to tap? Nope. Don't get me wrong, this is a great game to get into Magic if you're a newbie. I've been playing since 3rd Edition and it was unacceptably crippled for experienced players. (2012 seems to have fixed these big problems, but fool me once...)

Need for speed: Hot pursuit(The one one steam) I bought it thinking I would love it as much as I did with the original, no I disliked it very much and realized I liked things like shift and other similar.

Sorta on this one: Civ 5; I dunno, I love the civ series, played all of them. But I really dislike civ 5 compared to 4 or earlier, I dunno why.

If we're talking about Steam related games I bought I'd say:

Greed Corp

simply because the multiplayer is on life-support, but I wasn't too surprised, so it wasn't my greatest regret ever... oh no... there's only one game that single-handedly managed to change my views about buying a game soon after its release:

Jade Empire (for XBox)

Biggest disappointment (and waste of €60) of my life. My expectations were so high on this game... too high. I will never forget that horrible shoot-em-up minigame, those repetitive fight tactics (jump-dodge to victory), those many backtracking quests, that rushed plot towards the end (of an already short game), those bland multiple endings and that shitty prologue.

The game was okay-ish, but if only I knew that before getting hyped about it... if only I knew...

I'd played another game of the same genre by the dev, but this one was on sale for 20 bucks so I bought it. Terrible game.
