Heh, I bet rachel and I are the only ones that make that cut :P

mm... interesting... my stats are pretty poor with me being a lurker around and not commenting/creating threads tho!

I'm on an old linux distro since my win7 decided to F— itself (and the emergency netbook to fry its HD) so I can't view properly the spreadsheet..
Some things that came into my mind in that short time I could see the page:
* I would have inverted the table (users in rows and achievements in columns), this way one could sort them for whatever (s)he wants.
* I've read something about "negative" achievements.. you could put those on a second page :) (at first I was going to say "divide users in pages based on their starting char" but may be worse this way).
* I think you can freeze both first column(s) and first row(s), so it's easier to check values in the bottom-right part of the sheet.
* Also, be aware that each Google Spreadsheet has a limit of 400.000 cells, with a maximum of 256 columns per sheet.
I'll add more if I think of something else.
I'll be adding me as soon as I fix my laptop.

I feel like most of the columns don't need to be that wide >.<
Hmm...
How about a section for support tickets made? Uhh... wait.... maybe not a good idea... (No spam pls)
I'd rather a section for support tickets answered ;)

Thank you all for the suggestions and feedback and stuff! This is turning out to be more popular than I expected.
I work in 2 hours, so I'll take a break now. If anything fucks up while I'm away, message me or get someone to message me on Steam.

A small giveaway, cause this is a great project :D btw. does it count for the supporter achievement?
It would be great if you could put it in the main post :)

Pretty legit my friend! You've put some work into this, I see. So, how am I to find out how many blacklists I'm on? Archie ever release his script? :D

It's going to be fun to see, how much achievements i can get now. Cool idea, must have taken some lots of time to do this, nice work :)

I use the column AP!
Cool! I have earned 48 achievements! :)

Perhaps a few achievements about groups? (Joined x groups through group recruitment threads, member of x Steam Gifts based groups concurrently, etc.) There are a ton of great (and a few dubious) groups here, and there are so many to be represented there shouldn't (in my opinion) be achievements for individual groups.
Also, ratio based achievements (Had a 1/4 ratio, had a 4/1 ratio, etc.) might be interesting also, if only to see how people changed their ratios over time if they unlocked the achievement and then went the other direction. :3

Honestly, I don't even remember how I got into half of the groups I'm in now. No idea how many I joined via recruitment threads. I think that would be a little too hard to find out because I think it's not something you just remember, neither do you have a way to look it up, really.

Steamgifts Achievements is a project I have been considering for a while. Not having any coding knowledge to actually create an achievements userscript
Perhaps I could code SG cheevos into ArchiBoT module, so they'd be handled automatically and without fuckups.
Let me know if that appeals to you.
Edit: On the other hand, too many user-based cheevos ArchiBoT could not check, so pointless to implement.

DISCONTINUED
Update
This thread is no longer relevant as the spreadsheet is no longer publicly accessible after some people messed it up.
The project is still live however, and I will create a recruitment thread to invite interested users to a private group, where the new spreadsheet has been implemented. I have already invited the fifty-something users who where in the original spreadsheet. If you were in the "test run" and haven't received an invite to the group, please let me know and I will send you an invite. If you aren't a total stranger to me, you may also ask for an invite in the comments and I will invite you (providing you aren't a complete stranger who is barely active on Steamgifts. Just a precaution to ensure I don't invite the wrong people here).
As I said though, there WILL be a recruitment thread. Just not right now, as I am too tired to deal with invites at the moment. (since this morning, I spent something like five hours on this achievement thing non-stop. A guy deserves a break, no?) :P
The "official" recruitment thread will probably be live tomorrow.

Hello Steamgifts, I would like to introduce you to one of the silliest, pointless thing I may have done so far.
We all love achievements, right? We hunt, claim and hoard them, even though they rarely are ever rewarding (unless if you consider e-peen size a reward). And to be honest, although I am not an achievements hunter, I have always wanted achievements on Steamgifts. And so, without further delay, I present you...

Steamgifts Achievements - A Spreadsheet Experiment
Steamgifts Achievements is a project I have been considering for a while. Not having any coding knowledge to actually create an achievements userscript, I have been working on a second best idea. A spreadsheet where users are free to edit themselves and participate in an achievements hunt based around Steamgifts in general.
Now, I know what you’re thinking.“But jbond, you’re just going to leave a spreadsheet open to editing for all forum users to mess around? That CAN’T possibly be a good idea.” And you are perfectly correct. It’s a terrible idea, but one I am willing to experiment with. I’ll see how this goes. If it goes to shit, I’ll just dump the entire thing. Or find an alternate solution.
In the meantime, feel free to post suggestions and ideas. I need a crapload more achievements, as the spreadsheet barely skims the surface of what is possible to turn into achievements. So go wild, send suggestions and ideas my way, and I’ll catch up when and if I can. Or not. I don’t really know yet.

Introductory FAQ
What the fuck is this?
Basically, a spreadsheet open to editing to anyone who can read this thread. Inside it, achievements are listed. Keep track of what you do on Steamgifts and add a checkmark to achievements as you earn them. It's really simple, there's nothing more to it.
How the fuck does this work?
Read the FAQ & Guide below. It's very simple.
Why the fuck would I participate?
There is absolutely no reason to do so. There are no giveaways (yet) and no prizes or rewards. This is as pointless as Steam achievements.
This seems like a terrible idea, really.
That's not a fucking question. But I'll allow it, and confirm - yes, this is a terrible idea. There is a massive chance of some users completely fucking up the spreadsheet. Hence why this is titled "A Spreadsheet Experiment". I ask all of you who will participate to follow the rules and common sense.
