Will you play these games Until You Fall over?

[Tier 1] VR games are usually so expensive that paying just a dollar for one has me jumping around my House with joy.
[BTA] Sniping this early before it costs too much Paper.
[Tier 3] I'm in – I can barely get 5 years old Arizona Sunshine alone for that price!
[Expensive] I just can't (or won't) buy bundles anymore if they're priced like this. Please bring back the days of cheaper per-game pricing, kthxbye.
[Skip] I prefer my games flat.
[Potato] Only one rebundled title? You're almost back to being a decent bundle site, Humble.

Quite good VR bundle. Have non of them, so for me Tier 3 :-)

One minute after the bundle launched, it was $8.01 when I clicked it, so I assume it's $8.

I want Until You Fall, but not sure I want to pay $15 for it since I already own several of the others. Might just pick up T1 for Wands.

Huh, 2nd bundle in a row where top tier is basically 90% off
Less value for those that still buy :(

90% off is not enough?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well, after a long time of bundles being more than "just" 90% off it's kind of a bummer.
For me, it's enough, but I'm just saying that usually it was more.

for me it is more about the games included as a £20 game could be worse than a £5 - since it is a vr bundle (which i like to see for people) i passed since i don't own vr

I really want Until You Fall and it's all time low is $11.99. It seems like a good deal to get the top tier for just a few dollars more.

Are VRs common these days? Not to try and call out my old ass here, but it's still such a novelty to me, and the increase in games does have me assume that they're more affordable now and all that XD

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's still a small market, but the yeah it's getting bigger. The Oculus Quest 2 made it much more widespread and affordable.

Permalink

I always double-check if there's an option to non-VR anything with VR in the title for sure, but it's great that the price barrier is going lower.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's not common but they're an easy market as there aren't enough games to justify the price of the hardware so people with headsets tend to be on the lookout for bundles to get games for cheap.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

You just described me but at this price it's not worth it, bc of regional conversion the best games in the bundle are basically at the same price as when on sale, which is why i voted:

[Expensive] I just can't (or won't) buy bundles anymore if they're priced like this. Please bring back the days of cheaper per-game pricing, kthxbye.

Yeah IGN is still under the impression that VR owners are so rich they won't be comparing prices... nope.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It do be like that. Kinda like with consoles where you need good launch titles or nobody will bother with the first gen release huh.

Permalink

Oculus Quest 2 costs $299, so yeah, VR is finally more or less affordable.

So assuming you have a decent PC it's a bit like buying a new-ish console then? I suppose I can see how more people might bite now.

not super common but when someone mentions they have one it's not a surprise like it used to be.

Thanks, can't believe it's only been a year. Yeah it seems like Half Life Alyx wasn't the immediate rallying call that VR needed.

Here's hoping that the industry proves itself for a long time to come, so that it won't keep feeling gimmicky. As far as peripherals go, we've had some amazing ones even decades ago, but sadly they tend to be limited to a game or two they get bundled with. I remember some fighting game with attachmets for wrists and feet to track kicks and punches, that was neat stuff back in the day already!

I'm still strangely optimistic; I actually feel the same as I did 4 years ago because the industry hasn't really taken off but also hasn't completely bottomed out, it's chugging along just very very slowly. I'm hoping the Quest 2 brings access to a lot more people so that in a few years it is a bit more mainstream.

I mean, I had hopes for dreamcast and widespread solar power, but here we are XD I guess VR was lucky enough to not be out too soon for its time, at least. And for all the bad rep "being mainstream" gets, some things can't be mainstream enough if that makes them accessible and affordable haha.

I own a Valve Index so I should buy the bundle, I guess, but Zero Caliber has already been in the highest tier of a previous VR bundle I bought, also House Flipper has awful ratings. And BTA is just 1 cent cheaper than T3 so completely pointless. On the other hand both Until You Fall and Arizona Sunshine are on my wishlist. I wish I didn't have to overthink about it to take my decision.

Arizona Sunshine is one of the few VR games that gets good sales... or goes on sale at all. You'd probably be better off picking it up then so you can bundle it with the DLC campaigns.

Now if only we can get Beat Saber and H3 in a bundle.

Yeah I saw some people saying that, but for me it is locked at $14.91 USD and T3 is 15.

Ah, the only possibility is conversion rate between dolar and euro, so T3 is fixed amount in different currencies, but BTA is counted probably from different rate online. And it ends with a small difference like now... so in dolars T3 is more expensive, but in euros is T2 more expensive by a few cents.
