I haven't watched Dr Who since the 80s, and it might have been reruns from even earlier. So, I have no idea which one it was, heh.

Older era, I really enjoyed Troughton.

2005+... it's really a tough call between the first three. Eccleston definitely pulled me into the series. Tennant and Smith both had great follow-ups though with some engaging story arcs. I feel bad for Whittaker and Capaldi for having the acting chops, but not the writing to back them up.

The only Doctor I really didn't like was Colin Baker. Abrasive, to say the least. He fared better in a more recent multi-Doctor thing though.
