This sucks. A much more reasonable way of doing this would be to also hide the missing letter/number somewhere in the description where the key was found. Even if Steam didn't have the limit on a number of quesses, I wouldn't want to bother going through the entire alphabet and 0-9 each time only to find out that I already own the game or that it was taken. Just plain dumb.

In short: They have hidden game keys for Origin, Steam or Uplay all over their site, but the last character of the key has to be guessed by the finder.
I actually managed to find a few in their store (they are 'hidden' in the game descriptions) and even guessed one missing number right, but I already own the game (Human fall flat). Key has probably already been activated anyway.
Personally I can't be bothered to try again, because with 36 chances per key (A-Z, 0-9) sooner rather than later you will get the 'too many activation attempts' and then the key is already activated by someone else anyway.
