Just wondering which graphics card company is the most popular with Steam Gifts users!

EDIT: Nvidia is the clear winner. If I were to buy a Nvidia card which one should I get and where should I get it. I'm in the UK.

Radeon HD 6870 it performs the same as a GTX 560 for 40-50 USD Less and imo the best bang for your buck. I should also add I use a PNY GeForce GTS 250 and love the features nvidia has like the FXAA and also this new Ambient Occlusion feature. But AMD topped them in the FXAA department because you can enable there FXAA, I forget the name they use for it, on any 3D Application. While Nvidias must be for FXAA Enabled applications, Red Orchestra 2, Deus Ex HR, Skyrim. But honestly and truthfully unless your going for highend graphics cards, GTX 560 Ti upward, your gonna wanna get an AMD they're cheaper and run better then what Nvidia has to offer in the sub 200 dollar pricerange.

Pretty much this. If you don't need CUDA or Physx, then AMD will give you better performance/$. AMD seems to have more issues with drivers though.

I use a GTX 580, but I needed CUDA.

I personally like Nvidia for their drivers but AMD and nvidia are both fine to me.

I have currently 2x GTX 580, one 6950 Twin Frozr II, and a few meh cards.

These X vs Y threads are universally useless. AMD vs nVidia, Intel vs AMD, Xbox vs Playstation, Chocolate vs Vanilla. In each case you get fanboys of each extolling the virtues of their chosen preference, always without regard to fact, and usually because it's the only one they have experience with.

If you just want to know which is more popular, the hardware survey makes that easily decipherable. However, the question of which is "better" is best answered by evaluating which offers the greatest performance at the lowest price point. For that, consult hardware reviews and benchmarks for the games you play most. Fanboys whose recommendation consists of "I have [Option A/B] and it's awesome" or "[Option A] is great and [Option B] sux0rz!!!!111eleven" are not a reliable source of advice.
