We did well but like Iceland I thought it was just a game too far. We weren't going to do any better than we did against Belgium.
I don't really have a problem with Ronaldo myself. I'm Welsh but I live in England and follow English football. I thought Ronaldo was really entertaining when he was here and he worked really hard to get to the top. It is funny when he cries but I still like to see him playing well.
Congrats to Portugal though - they really got their act together after Ronaldo went off. They looked better organised and really pulled together.

That's from after the game with Wales, not the final. It was all over the news in different tv channels that when the final game was over, Eiffel Tower was displaying France Flag, not Portugal.

Unfortunately for you and all those who are not negative and do not bash, that was the feedback we got and it was not from random people on the street, it was actually from French media.
Football is complicated when it comes to fans. Stupid people end up getting the spotlight but one thing you have to admit, we got criticized too hard. Yes, we did not play great but we always managed to pull through.

But it is a fact that "20 minutes" is freely distibuted at metro station and that it is read by many.

Not just French people, I've said it too. Let me explain why.
Portugal plays anti-football. They only wait for the opponent to make a mistake and then try to counter. It's super predictable and disgusting to look at. Christiano Ronaldo acts like he owns the place, no coach in their right mind would accept a player as a second coach beside him. They had a really easy draw, only won one game in regular playing time while drawing six times and were third in the poule behind Iceland and Hungary. Need more reasons?
I don't think Ronaldo deserved the injury, but I'm not sure wether or not it was a deliberate attack either. And sure, many other countries were boring and unimpressive too (Hungary, Austria and indeed France and Spain at times as well). But none of them played as boring as Portugal while also having the quality to do better. Maybe Spain, but they deserved to lose agains the Italians, and they did.
It was a boring tournament with a boring final and a boring winner. And before anybody accuses me of being patriotic, I'm Dutch and the Dutch played disgusting football two years ago.

I agree on the boring part. This Euro didn't bring as much excitement and going to extra time and penalties over and over again is painful.
In fact, I didn't expect us to get to the final let alone win this.
Overall, I believe Iceland was the best surprise of all. Loved them.

Bullcrap. Portugal didn't play "anti-football". They played creative attacking football and outshot their opponents in nearly all matches except two (the final itself and the game against Croatia where Croatia, despite having more total shots, failed to make a single shot on target).
Against Iceland, they had 27 shots while Iceland had 4. Against Austria they had 23 shots while Austria had 3. Against Poland they had 21 shots while Poland had 14. Agains Wales they had 17 while Wales had 9. How's that anti-football?
Never been a fan of Portugal myself (rooted for Russia and then Italy), but they were one of the most entertaining and well-rounded team at this Euro, it's just because of extremely bad luck they didn't win all their group games by high margin.
