For anyone having problems trying to sync, go into the settings and verify your accounts are still connected. All of my accounts except GoG were no longer connected. Reconnected Epic and was able to claim the Game of the Year edition no problem. Thanks for the heads up!

I find this part silly. I have Witcher 3 base + season pass on steam which is equivalent to GOTY. I can even put GOTY in my steam cart and it recognizes that I have everything in it already and greys out the option to buy, and gog only awards a base copy.

Well, just claimed Game of the Year. Owned and played it on Steam, but got it on PS4 when it was on sale, so was easy to claim it from there to skip the issue with Steam claims.

GOG can't see your DLCs, it just can see the base game. Steam just gives you the base game and DLCs.
On the PS4 and XBO, The base game and the GotY are two separate releases and you can even own both of them on the same account. That is why they can claim the GotY edition without issue at this point.
They are currently trying to do something for owners with the game and all DLCs.

Since GOG Galaxy thinks I only own the base game and not the GOTY on Steam, I'll wait until they fix it or the last day to claim it.
p.s.
Took me a lot of tries of stopping and restarting GOG Galaxy to get it to sync Steam. Just tended to stop and then says it was disconnected and to try again. Try again did not work, had to exit the program. Took at least a dozen tries to sync 2057 games according to Steam. YMMV.

Should be a Claim button above Activity. Do you already have the relevant content? A friend saw it there to claim GotY despite owning the base game on GOG previously.

I'm clueless then. I've heard of people having problems connecting their PSN account but mine went fine, and so did importing the game. I can only suggest checking again later. If you have a secondary account, start the game on that so it is in the trophy list, remove the first PSN profile and link the second. Might have better luck then. That worked for a friend who didn't have it show on their PSN account before then.

I had same problem, I just pressed on the Witcher 3 in the gog library, and then it said something like "You can claim free copy of Witcher 3 on your gog account", in check out it will be seen like non-GOTY version, but believe me you will get GOTY. Hope it will help...

Right now it's an absolute shitshow. I'm uninstalling Galaxy out of exasperation - the Steam integration plugin kept crashing, among other things - and retrying in a couple days

They fixed the problem people had with the GOTY version (having it on Steam, but getting only standard on GOG). Just got upgraded to the GOTY now, yesterday was only the standard edition.
What worked for me was to remove Steam integration > log out > log in > connect with Steam > sync integrations. After it was done syncing, the banner to claim the game appeared once more. Then just claim the game like the 1st time.

Thanks. Followed your steps. Synced much faster this time, stayed at 99% for only a minute. Then showed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GOTY as owned and in my library and let me claim it on GOG. Now have GOTY in my GOG library too.

Mine won't let me remove Steam integration. I click on "Disconnect", I click on "Confirm", and then nothing happens and it just stays connected. Tried several times (and the client still just crashes every other time before I even make it to the settings window...)
Any other way to force it to disconnect?
Edit: Finally got it to see Witcher GOTY on Steam, but now the banner won't show up ...
Edit 2: Another 5 crashes and restarts later, banner finally showed up. Now all is in order.

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the account of PSN or another platform linked to GOG?
I ask this because my nephew has The Witcher 3 GOTY on PSN, but he only plays on PS4. However, my brother has no PSN and only plays on the PC.
So, he wants to use our nephew's account to redeem The Witcher 3 on his GOG account. But, he said he plans to create a PSN account when he buys his PS5 and link that account later to GOG.
PS: I already have The Witcher 3 GOTY on Steam and have already redeemed my GOG version.

GOG will see played games, so they don't need to use the nephews account, they can just use their own
- Make account now
- Log it into nephews PS4
- Start up the game so it appears on the Trophy list
- Sync trophies online so they can be seen
- Sync newly created PSN account on GOG
- Claim game
- Use account with PS5 later
Also, shame they didn't make an account sooner to claim the free PS4 games a while ago, since they would have been backwards compatible

I didn't know I could do that from PSN.
I just linked my Steam account (which I used to redeem The Witcher GOTY for my GOG account) to my brother's GOG account and managed to redeem for The Witcher GOTY for his GOG account as well.
I did it just out of curiosity and I didn't understand why the system allowed linking twice!

Took a while to update and reload my steam games (haven't opened Galaxy in a few months) but I was eventually able to navigate to the Witcher 3 entry and claim my GOG copy.
