Surprised there are no more comments yet on this one. This seems an exceptional bundle to me, considering this is on Indiegala. Couldn't believe my eyes right now. Two wishlist games in there for me: Lake Ridden and Tenth Line. Headin over to Group Buys to reserve one of them bundles for me!

Thanks for the thread!

Nice looking bundle from Indiegala. Makes a change from the DIG/Otaku style bundles we're used to seeing from them.

I was wondering what the big draw was in this bundle. I thought it was good, but didn't think it was worthy of selling 50-60K. Now IG shows 21K sold. I wonder why the number changed so drastically.

What numbers are you talking about?

On the main page, they show the amount sold. They showed at least 50K at one point, and now it's 21K sold.

Maybe they count the bundles sold with the Happy Hour.

They do. During Happy Hour, they went from 40K sold to 50K sold.

Pls don't necro 2 weeks old topics without much reason.

And yes, this was a great bundle with at least 3 unbundled and great or even more good games. :) Many people bought it.

The bundle is still live, so I don't see the problem with adding my thoughts.

lol...

Alright, I see the Happy Hour bulk buyers probably inflate the sales numbers, and maybe they only count individual buyers? In any case, yeah, it seems odd. Also, some of these bundles get TWO happy hours.

The price is actually $4.99, though I don't know if that was recently changed. Was it $3.49 for the first day and then $4.99, or was it $3.99 sometime inbetween the beginning and now?

IG usually has 3 prices for their bundles -- First day price, regular price, and Happy Hour price. In this case, that means $3.49, 3.99, and 4.99, respectively. It's on Happy Hour now, so it's $4.99.
To actually answer your question -- yes, it was $3.99 inbetween the first day and now.

At first, I thought it seemed a very nice bundle to be in Indiegala. I was going to buy it. Then I realised it was more expensive ( 4'99$ ) nowadays, so decided not to buy it. But in the end, I have realised this bundle was on sale two days a go, so maybe I have to accept this price. The sale ends tomorrow, so I will have to decide tonight. Any thoughts about these games? I accept all opinions (maybe I should just buy it, instead of spending my time writing here...

No, the real price is the one from 2 days ago ($3.99) and the current price is the inflated one because of the Happy Hour.
How about searching for a spot in the GroupBuys? It would cost you less than $1.50 then (depending on how you pay / Paypal fees)...
Or you can wait a few more hours to see if they end the Happy Hour before they end the bundle - that would allow you to buy it at $3.99.

I have entered in Happy Hour Information and it says I can earn a Gift or something... I dont really understand it, how they can put it more expensive and call it Happy Hour? What is really the Gift? Am I mixing buying the bundle as a gift for somebody else with IndieGala giving me more things apart from the bundle itself?

Thanks in advance.

If you purchase the bundle during the first 24h (when the price is the lowest), then you qualify for the Happy Hour promotion. You did not buy it back then, therefore you don't qualify.

The price of the bundle itself during Happy Hour is higher than the normal price because for each bundle purchase you get 3 additional gifts for free. However, in order to be eligible for that, you have to buy the bundle during the first 24h after launch, like mentioned above.

This is exactly what GroupBuys are: someone (the host) buys the bundle immediately after release, and then up to 10 packs of 1 bundle (at $4.99) + 3 free gifts (discounts apply too). The total spent (price of initial bundle + 10 x $4.99) is then divided by 41. And that's why your final price via GroupBuys will always be MUCH cheaper than any of the various prices that a bundle has during it's uptime.

In other words: buying a bundle during Happy Hour should be done only if you qualify for the Happy Hour promotion, otherwise you end up spending much more money than you should.

Thank you for answering my questions, as you may have seen, I am not a native English speaker and I may be missing some of the info you are giving me. I have always thought those things called GroupBuys where places where people decided to split the bundles and buy each of them some games they wanted without purchasing the whole bundle (well, the host would but the group would share its price). After your explanation I am in doubt, because I don't know if you are telling me that some people buy lots of bundles to resell them (I mean whole bundles, without splitting them) or if they only do what I previously thought they did. Sorry to be such a bad "understander" and thank you for your explanation efforts.

That's exactly what sensualshakti is talking about: people buying multiple bundles and selling them off whole.

"Group buys" can refer to both the splitting of bundles (like you were thinking of) and bulk buying whole bundles (like sensualshakti is talking about). Personally, I think "group buy" is more commonly used to refer to the bulk buying/selling of whole bundles, while splitting the bundle is a "bundle split"/"split".

Thank you very much. My last question is... (I'm sorry to be monopolizing this thread). How do I buy it? I already went to GroupBuy Europe group on Steam and asked for the Wizard Blast Indiegala Bundle on the comments but I am afraid there may be a more direct way to do this (I am not really sure
but...)

If your Paypal is in EU, then you can go to this link and post a comment that you will take the Wizard Blast bundle. Then send a friend request to the person who made the thread. After you get in contact with him, he will tell you the email address where to send the money via PayPal. Don't forget to use Friends & Family option so the you don't pay PayPal fees.

Detruire (who replied to you above) is also a long-time GroupBuy host, but they accept only USD, which means that you will have to pay some extra fees for PayPal conversion. Their thread is here.

Sorry that I wasn't able to answer sooner, but I will be around from now on if you need more help.
Also, I see that the Happy Hour has ended, but the price remained at $4.99. I', not sure if it's intentional or they just forgot to update it back to $3.99.
