Take on the role of Vietnam veteran Lincoln Clay as he attempts to build a criminal empire across New Bordeaux in action-adventure Mafia III; write the next chapter for humanity by exploring space to colonize a new planet in sci-fi turn-based strategy Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth; and team up with other brave heroes to take on hordes of ghastly rodent monsters in the action-packed Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide.

Explore fantasy realms fighting Wizard, Lords and Kings in co-op strategy Chaos Reborn; wander through an asylum to discover the truth in psychological horror adventure The Town of Light; and solve the ancient mysteries behind the missing moon goddess in top-down RPG Moon Hunters!

Pick up tier two ($4.99) or tier three ($8.99) of the Colossus Bundle and you will also receive two ‘locked games’, which will be revealed on February 25th.

How Colossal is this bundle?

View Results
[Tier 1] Purchaselust Reborn.
[Tier 2] Can't wait to get another copy of Vermintide for my already big collection!
[Tier 3] This is Beyond expected. What an amazing bundle!
[Have] Am I in the town of Repeats? Seems like it.
[Skip] I Hunt for better / cheaper bundles.
[Complaint] Rebundling Humble Monthly games is not what we expected when we asked for a Fanatical Monthly...

meh, the description says 4 late unlock but only 2 pic

with the 20% discount what I got in my mail I might go for tier 2, town of light is a game I would play, and some late unlock might be nice.

tier3: both owned from HB monthlies, perhaps good for resellers but as a player nothing interesting there AND beyond earth in monthly was with the DLC. This is just the base game, meeeeeeh.

Ouch, that would suck. I'm kinda in the same boat. Town of Light looks good to me, but not enough to make me go and get the bundle. Ash of Gods as an addition tho would change the whole thing.
Now, let's hope they have enough for all of us ;)

Your welcome. Do you think the 2nd tier is worth buying now? Ash and the Town of LIght looks interesting. For me I am still missing 5 games so it would be a dollar a game.

I'm pondering over it myself right now. Vee was so kind to gift me Town of Light (which I am deeply thankful for), but now I'm in the dilemma of whether to buy tier 2 for Ash of Gods or not...

I think if you want both it's deffo worth it. The rest doesn't look too shabby and is good gifting/trading fodder (with a few exceptions - I'm looking at you, Vermintide).

Yeah I ended up getting it. Ash of Gods is definitely the kind of game I like getting into. Adding the 4 others games is just a nice bonus.

You can't make meaningful "price" comparisons between a site that lets you give up to 100% of your purchase price to charity and one that lets you give 0%.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

True, but most of the people ( includes me ) don't change the default values

and it goes like the following

10% to charity
25% to HB
65% to devs

Same. It's weird how so many people buy on HB "because charity" but never bother to change neither the money allocation nor the charity choice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (not talking here about those who did review the allocation and were happy about it, just those who can't be bothered)

I mean that sounds like it's more on you? Humble gives you the opportunity to give it ALL to charity. I usually do about 75% charity, 20% devs, 5% humble tip.

Aren't Humble tier 3s usually $10 or $12, and Monthlies usually $12 (pre-discount, which I believe brings them to 10.80 or better)?

$15 is a solid step up from that, and would- by my recollections- be more indicative of specific, atypical bundles rather than what we'd expect to pay for the typical Humble AAA bundle offering.

Of course, if we're talking cost-benefit, that's completely different, since the arrangement and quantity of this bundle will differ against comparable Humble offerings. But as far as straight total expense goes, Humble should be rather comparable.

I must say, I'm disappointed.

Tier 3 is two games with very mixed reviews, Tier 2 is OK (Already own half though), and Tier 1 is just rebundles.

Maybe the mystery games will change my stance.

It is a Colossal Disappointment for me. I bought the Mafia III monthly and was offered Beyond Earth and its DLC for Dark Souls III instead but rejected the deal. Even though I am a big CIV and Strategy Fan, I am not a Sci-Fi Fan nor does Beyond Earth trigger my fancy. I am stuck with whether to go with Tier 2 or just Tier 1. I already had the games I am interested in T2 so I need to know what the mystery games are.
Cheers~

Definitely not interested in tier 3 @ €9.59. I have Beyond Earth, and have no need for Mafia III. But... might get Tier 2 for a few of the other games. Will see.

"Simply choose tier two or tier three of this jam-packed bundle and you'll get two additional Steam games, which will unlock on February 25th."

So saying there are 4 may be a mistake.

2 additional games for every lock maybe?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I saw that too. I would assume it is a typo, so probably 2 unlocks later as the placeholders show.

edit: one of them could be Ash of Gods (which was teased earlier) but we can't know for sure

Could anyone tell me if I own the base game Beyond Earth and try to get https://store.steampowered.com/sub/75573/ will I get a discount and will I be able to buy it?

sub in the link = no discount

Nope, it's not classified as a 'complete your collection' bundle on Steam so there would be no pro-rated discount for owning the base game.

Permalink

Thank you for the info. Seems I might skip tier 3 then...

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

For sure there will be some price deduction if you own the base game but i dont know if you will get an extra discount on top of that. So yes you wont waste money on the base game again. Keep in mind some steam bundles are broken like the max payne one that wont have a lower price no matter what you already own but thats a rare case, at least from my experience that seems so.
EDIT: Skip what i said, that seems to be the case here, i am sorry.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

There are bundles that don't let you purchase them for yourself, only as gifts when you own one of the items, I'm afraid of that.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I had no idea about that. It seems that you learn something new everyday. My bad.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's a type that were called 'Package'. You must purchase it at that decided price and didn't care whether you have the base game or not.

And in a 'Bundle' type there are 2:
-Complete your collection - this is what you are looking for.
-Must purchase together - it's same like 'Package', but the price are the accumulation of base game + DLC. ( 'package' price was already decided beforehand)

Good(ish) games, lots of repeats, nothing for me here. Although, I'm mildly interested in Heliborne. Not sure why, it probably reminds me of some NES/SNES game of the same type, but it's definitely not something I'd be dying to play. Actually, scratch that off... it would probably gather virtual dust for a long time. Hum... unless the mystery games are to my liking, I ain't getting this one.

I think worth the 9$ for the both games in tier 3 only. I bought it also they will add up two new-to-bundle games next week. Sounds cool to me😇

Hmm no, way too expensive for only one slightly interesting game. Let's hope it wil show up in another bundle or not as it is likely too scary to play anyway.

i'll wait for the unlocks, i'll be getting tier 1 but only thing in tier 2 i want is the last leviathan so it depends on the hidden games.
Was interested in Heliborne until i learned it's mainly a multiplayer game.

Comment has been collapsed.

I'm in the same exact boat - Definitely buying T1 but waiting on T2 unlocks.
The little I've read about Heliborne's single player indicates it is likely weak since the dev literally says in Heliborne 0.92 notes that it is really meant to be played multiplayer.
