I guess it's a common misconception, because we all have been on Steam for so long now. But it's not that insane if you think about it.
Let's say for example you start a Steam account on your 13th birthday. Worldwide about 330000 people turn 13 each day! That's a lot of potential customers.

The phrase "games you CAN get" kinda smell for me. It might have been worth if we would know for sure what we're buying, since there's some high-level games there that even on sale would cost between 3 and 7 euro each, and if someone is missing a lot of them (waiting for them being bundled or 90% off...good luck with Konami and other producers) then it could have been a very worth bundle to grab them all now.
But, as usual, this smells like we'll receive one, maybe two high-profile games and then lots of trash.
And don't even mention charity. If anyone really feel charitable, then donate directly to whoever you feel like, that way they'll get 100% of it (minus transaction fees :P).

Ended up buying it. Castlevanias, Metal Gears, along with a handful of others that look good (Tower 57, Rocket Knight, War of Mine, RAGE, Next Up Hero, Beat Cop, ADR1FT) and a bunch of others that I don't own + a few games to give away sounds worth it. Never hurts that it goes toward charity either.

On one hand from 50 games there are only 5 that are on my wishlist, the rest I own. Still seems overpriced even if I didn't own anything from it.

Yeah. I normally don't care about the difference between Ā£ $ and ā¬ but when we're talking this amount. If I must pay in Ā£ because I am in sweden, it is almost 14$ more than if I could buy with dollars. Think that made my final decision of skipping this.

Unless they have spare keys for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Digital Bundle - retired (which is rather unlikely), you will probably get Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 (base game only). Or maybe they will come up with something else, since there will be a flood of people complaining rather soonish

I used the website activation page and both were added to my account. Store page says not available, but I am able to install them. I'm based in Finland. I don't use any VPN extension in my browser (that I know of anyway).
Ps. I didn't even try activating in Steam client. I rarely use that method these days.

too expensive for me, and some games are missing because not available for my region like Metal Gear Rising Revengance, Rocket Knight, & Castlevania(all 3 of them). Besides, 5 games already gone Free anyway thus making it less valuable. Worse yet, I already own both MGS V. if haven't, I might be thinking twice or thrice to buy it because what I aim the most in there are Mount&Blade trilogy.

Castlevania Lord of Shadows 2 won't activate for me in Canada. I've submitted a support ticket to GMG for it. Hope they fix it.
By the way, my mystery game was OPERATION FLASHPOINT 2 DRAGON RISING.

Nay, but only because I have most all of these. I think if you were looking to build a library of games, this is a pretty good deal at 95% off full retail. Not all of these are good games, but they sure cover a wide variety of genres. There are a few gems in here for sure.
