Spoilers for Bioshock 2 (And Bioshock 1 will be in this thread most likely.) You have been warned.

(Only discuss Bioshock 2 here please, though discussion of Bioshock 1 is fine. Just no Infinite talk please. Tankz.)

So like a day ago I finally beat Bioshock 2. And I thought it was a great game honestly just as good as Bioshock 1. Hell, I thought the ending to Bioshock 2 was better than Bioshock 1. (It was sad well actually I got the good ending but I saw the other endings and they were sad.)

So my question is why did people hate Bioshock 2 so much? I know a lot of people were disappointed when it came out and I recall everyone hating the ending as well.(Personally I hated Bioshock 1's ending because it was like 30 seconds long.)

Was it just nostalgia? Or is there a real reason that I missed?

The only thing I disliked about Bioshock 2 was the lack of a final boss. That kinda sucked to me...

Last thing I wanted to ask. Is any of the DLC worth playing?

I was interested in BioShock 2: Minerva's Den DLC but it's on Window's Live to buy it so I'm not sure about it... I'm just curious if the side story is worth my time or not. (And if it's worth my money, and buying it on Window's Live...)

Nobody's said it yet so I will: Why can't I rearrange and keybind my plasmids the way I want to? Why do they keep rearranging the order every time I take out a plasmid or put a new one in? Why by the time of Bioshock 2 haven't they fixed such a glaring flaw?
Also, why is drill dash so ridiculously awesome?

I dont remember anything about Bioshock 1, I only remember things about Bioshock 2 & Infinite (As I just finished it 2 days ago).

But somehow I feel like I enjoyed Bioshock 1 more... I dont know, Maybe Im mixing up my games since I played one after the other. But I feel like I enjoy Bioshock 1 more. The story for sure... Bioshock 1's story makes sense and is interesting.

Suddenly Bioshock 2 comes with this other story that happens 10 years later or so? I dont understand how a cities' citizens can be killing eachother and be in a zombie-like form for 10 years without that ending in "extinction" of the population. Second problem I have with it: Now its about Lamb vs Ryan while Bioshock was Ryan vs Fontaine. Is there still a government? Is there still a city? Theres debates and all this stuff that makes it seems like it recently fell into chaos but its been 10 years. Theres barely any mention of Fontaine (Which should be HUGELY important).

IDK, Didnt fit Bioshock's story very well, I mean... If youre gonna base your game off another you might aswell make the story make sense.
I think thats why I liked Bioshock 1 more, I was just struggling to make sense of everything throughout Bioshock 2. Now that I think about it, I remember thinking "Whos this Lamb woman and why was she never mentioned before if shes so important now?"

I read the timeline of Rapture (And Bioshock in general) and it still doesnt make much sense... Its like a TV series like "Friends" or "Two and a half men" instead of one like "Breaking Bad" or "Vampire Diaries". Theyre the same main thing (Series) but they do not follow a chronological plot, Theres refenrences here and there but every episode (Game) has its totally different storyline to it, Almost completely detached from the previous episode's (Game).
