EA's/Origin's service is terrible! Every time I've used it, it was slow and unhelpful. For example, EA forces you to contact a customer support person to change your email on your origin accounts, which took me 45 minutes to even get ahold of them. They never address issues on how origin works either. The way that origin downloads games is repulsive; It took me weeks to download battlefield 3 because it would get about 40%, jump back to 8%, go to 80%, jump back to 50%, etc over and over again. I cant really speak about steam's customer service because ive never had a problem with it for the 2 years ive used it, but in about half a year I can say that Origin is absolutely terrible.

Do it the Atari way:
"Hey, Atari. My TDU 2 on Steam ain't start no more"
"F''' OFF WE DON'T SUPPORT STEAM CUSTOMERS!"
"If you do not support me, I will not support you no more. Gonna play them games anyways..."

My experience wasn't so good, they couldn't even change my email address and just told me to wait 2-3 days to get rid of me.
I made a thread "My experience with ea's origin"
I will never buy EA's games, not just from this alone but because of all their bullshit they inflict on customers, developers and the gaming industry as a whole. They are like a dry crusty turd stuck on your the sole of your shoe.

Ha, I didn't even notice that. Didn't know I had a rep ;)
I admitted I entered it incorrectly but still, the option to change email on origin wouldn't allow me to change it and ea support couldn't even change it. Its such a simple feature.
I've also never had to contact support for anything else in the past for any software/hardware then within 5-10mins of origin I had to.
Offering a shit service but having what some people call a good support team to attempt to make up for it is not okay for me.

Support sucks. Took me 6 reps and 4 days with an average of 2 hours per rep. Just to transfer old games from an account I had back when origin was EADM to another, modern synonymous account.
They did give me a silly coupon though. For Spending 3 or so hours every day after work for 4 days straight :/.
All, yes ALL the reps contradicted one another at some point. It was ridiculous. Lots of transfers, lots of people passing the problem on to others until i Finally found a competent EA employee. Who fixed the issues other had hours and days to fix, in literally 5 minutes. Then he went on to tell me what everyone else was doing wrong, and said he would send a memo out to support for future problems that arose similar to mine. The only fruit that was bared... Knowing other people didn't have to go through what i went through. hopefully...
My 2 cents...

If it helps, I think you did, because I needed to add a bunch of games to my account about a month back. Took two reps (mostly because I felt I was taking up the first one's time for too long and left to deal with the rest later) and both did it very quickly and simply.

Most people say Origin has excellent customer support. Well, after my experience, I can certainly agree. Sadly the transcript of the chat didn't end up sending, so I can't show exact dialogues, but MAN are they amazing.
My account had been accessed by a random person in Russia, and the security question had been changed. I was in a live chat with an support member within a minute, and they were able to help me change the security question and get my account back to normal. And not only that, but the member noticed my copy of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 didn't have a product code (Which is actually crucial for verification purposes), and gave me a new copy of the game with a product code. And even after that, they gave me a coupon! It's only for 15% off, but who knows, maybe it stacks with the -$10 coupon code? I haven't tried it yet, but still!
Have any of you had any other notable experiences with support, whether good or bad? And what were they? I'm curious to see how many of you have had terrible experiences with Origin support. (Excluding that guy who accidentally typed his email in wrong, of course.)
