Sleeping Dogs up for cards now as well, just added to today's update

Doubtful. There's some games that the developers aren't supporting any longer or the developers aren't even in business any longer. Also the games that are licensed to a publisher and the developer is in another country may be tricky as well since they'd have to gain permission to have cards since those are something the publisher would profit from.

confirmed, let's download all the 25GB!
also Witcher 2

Downloaded over 100 GB the past like 3 days =_=
I have most of the games installed on my desktop, but I can't set it up for another 2 weeks.

Pff..why download all the games when you can change appid of a game like HL2 and use that to "play" everything :P
Comment has been collapsed.
Need to have Half Life 2 installed, obv. In it's folder is a file steam_appid.txt (create if there isn't), in it write the appid of the game you want to idle. Then launch the hl2.exe. HL2 will start, but Steam will say you are in the other game, that you set.
Maybe works with other Source gaems too..

Sniper Elite Nazi Zombie Army added.(and Sniper Elite V2 too, probably)

yep, new sales and people awake. time for another round of list my cards way cheaper than current value so when the do eventually show up they might actually sell. It's amazing how I get different response from steam each time I make a ticket about this. My favorite so far is "daily server maintenance, allow up to 24 hours" because by that logic my cards could just never show up and nothing they can do about it.

Looks like Fairy Bloom Freesia and Ys are ones to add for possibly upcoming. We have no idea which Ys game though of the three, it was definitely asked about in the forums for all of them.
Also, with how long this is getting, you might want to consider putting this in a google doc or something.

So did Oath and Chronicles. I know the Chronicles one was forcing the game to run the config on first time install, but it ended up having a bug and running the config twice every time you started the game (at least with Ys I).
Still, I thought Ys getting cards was going to be a shot in the dark at best, so it was nice to see that post from Tom and there's another from Sara saying the same thing that I could dig up.

Doesnt have them listed by when the cards are released. I could do without going through 4 pages (and growing) in order to find only the newest 5 games to get cards.

alternatively you can just check your badges page assuming you aren't buying games just for the cards

I guess that over time 70-80% of all games will have cards. Creating the Cards, Emoticons, Backgrounds costs nothing compared to the money steam makes with those things. I guess the Publishers/Studios will get a litte share that makes more than up for the effort of creating the cards.
When a game is selected as community vote they just unlock it early so more people buy the game that way.

Well... I have over 800 games on Steam so... keep 'em coming! :D Free money is always welcome.

I've started to notice the community vote games getting cards as well.
Edit: latest winner doesn't have cards so there goes that trend

%^*#@% is there an easier way to idle without actually downloading this 25gb monster?

bah, I was hoping for another batch of like 5-10 of them with todays daily deals change.

About two weeks ago I found a great site being a wiki of some kind all about the trading cards, there was a big tree/list of games and a possibility to show emoticons, cards, backgrounds under each game. Now I cannot found the site and it was a great compendium of the trading cards system.
Anyone know the site and can post the link here? It would be great, thanks in advance!
and btw, I'm not talking about http://steamtradingcards.wikia.com/

Booster packs: Booster packs are additional cards for games that will drop periodically. Anyone who has collected all the trading card drops they can for a game and have used Steam in the last week may receive one of these booster packs. These packs contain three additional cards for the game, and may contain foils. If you receive a booster, you will get a "1 new item in your inventory" alert.
Game Collector Badge: There's a new badge which will grant you XP based on how many games you have in your Steam library. This badge replaces the "100 XP for having at least one product registered" message at the bottom of the badges page.

A little Steam trading cards FAQ:
Note: Most questions are already answered in the official FAQ
Q: How many / Which Steam games drop cards?
A: See official FAQ, though this thread seems a bit more complete ;)
You can also use the advanced options in the Steam store search
Q: How many cards does game X drop?
A: Each game drops 50% (rounded up for odd numbers) of the total card number, it's also part of the official FAQ.
Q: What cards / emotes / backgrounds / arts are available for game X?
A: See either steamcardexchange.net, Steam Trading Cards Wiki or SG TC Art Collection (discontinued)
Q: What are Mystery Cards and how do I get them?
A: It's not sure what they do, but you can get them from crafting badges since the latest updated (July 3rd) more info
Edit: Mystery cards turned into Steam Summer Getaway Trading Cards on July 11th.
Q: What are Steam Summer Getaway Trading Cards?
A: Summer cards FAQ
Q: So now I know how to get cards, but how do I get backgrounds / emotes / XP to level up my Steam account?
A: By crating a badge (a full set of cards, see official FAQ)
Q: I've hit my card drop limit, how do I get more cards?
A: You don't. The only way to get more cards is by trading or buying them on the market. Exception: TF2 and Dota2 - you will get one more card drop for every $9 spent on the ingame store. However there are plans to improve this (see next Q/A entry).
EDIT: The recent update (June 18th) introduced Booster Packs
Q: Where are my TF2/Dota2/Warframe/other F2P trading card game cards?
A: You only get the cards for those 2 F2P games, if you either were TF2 premium or bought something from the Dota2 store before the beta started. Now you have to spend money in the ingame store to get card drops. For a more detailled information you should check out the games "How do I earn card drops?" link on your badges page or visit the game forum.
Q: Will I get card drops of game X, that's supposed to drop cards, if I don't own the game but play it during a free weekened?
A: Nope, Valve is not stupid, no freebies for you.
Q: How much is my card worth?
A: Check the market, the prices are changing all the time, depending on supply and demand - simple economics.
Q: I have a question that's not answered in this FAQ.
A: Well, that's not a question per se, but chances are your question is already covered in the official FAQ.
