Steins;Gate was great. Not sure which is my favourite, but some I've liked the most include Code Geass, Carnival Phantasm, Death Note, Fate/Zero, Bakemonogatri, and Nisemonogatari. I'm watching Psycho-Pass and Robotics;Notes this season and they seem to be pretty nice.

Damn, most of mine are already listed here. Few things I can add are some movies, Sword of the Stranger(has some of, if not the best sword fighting scenes I've ever seen). Perfect Blue is another great one, total mindfuck. I was afraid to go outside after watching it, very recommended. Also, the anime Welcome to the NHK, very deep story about a hikkikomori that made me reevaluate my life after watching, that show hits hard.

God my list would be too long xD I've watched about +70 different series... But I would say that Sword Art Online and Taoru Majutsu no Index are my favorites atm :3

Dragon Ball +DBZ and Pokemon were the only amines I ever watched haha.

I recommend you Fate/Zero, Mahou Shojo Madoka Magicka (HOLY SH*T) and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, my favourite animes.

Btw, I totally recommend that under comedy. Best comedy ever! :D

Also while I'm at it, you may wanna try the Devil May Cry anime. It's a nice mix of Horror, Supernatural and lots of Action. :)

My favs are: Fate/Zero, Slam Dunk, Kara no Kyoukai movies, Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen, Kaiji, Natsume Yuujinchou.
New Hunter x Hunter is pretty awesome too.

For you, I recommend Fate/Zero, Kaiji, Kara no Kyoukai, Berserk, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Gintama.

cant say favorites since i have watched too much, and you mentioned alot good classics, I will limit myselft to say some recent ones that i liked.

-Another (very good story and an easy recomendation for horror)

Puella Magi Madoka Magica - Magic girl(I dislike this genre)(If you enjoy drama and psychological themes, forget about traditional magic girl)

-Guilty Crown and sword art online (both hace a very good story and enjoyed watching them but its not as good toward the end, the manga /novel are very good though)

-Dead man wonderland and Mirai Nikki (They are not that special in the anime but gotta mention them since we dont get as much slash, blood, psycological anime)
