📝Handling of surrendered Russian soldiers so far
Ukraine war: The surrender hotline for Russian soldiers - BBC News
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-63782764
The international community will probably accept the surrender from Russia for a while longer.
However, there is talk that something is wrong with Russia and China.
We need to pay attention so that the era when people can accept others as human beings will not end.

[Video on Twitter] - Meanwhile in Russia: top propagandist Vladimir Solovyov shows off the improvised knee pads made by the mobilized Russian men out of plastic bottles. Later on, Solovyov casually threatens the viewer who asks him to stop lying and deceiving people.
Solovyov plays sadness because he wants Russian citizens to buy equipment for the soldiers, because the Putler army can't do its job properly.
Solovyov can't stand having contradictors, someone asked Solovyov to stop deceiving people, Solovyov replies with threats - "... we are going to find you. We will find out everything about you. You won't know a moment's peace." Speaking of peaceful moments, I doubt that the mobilized Russians have many. If they had anything against Solovyov, they missed their chance after being drafted.
[Video on Twitter] - They are talking about a possible defeat. And that all will be guilty after that defeat.
Here we go again. A propagandist tries to make the Russian people afraid of a defeat in Ukraine. Those who should be afraid are the Kremlin, the propagandists and a part of the military.

Russian Soldiers Are Freezing To Death In Eastern Ukraine
Shocking videos that have circulated online in recent weeks tell a tragic story. The videos, shot by the Ukrainian brigades’ hovering drones, depict Russians in the late stages of hypothermia, so cold and sick that they barely react when the drones drop lethal improvised bombs on them.
[...]
The problem for the Russian army is that more and more of its troops are untrained draftees. Officers aren’t leading from the front. And Russian logistics are strained by nonstop Ukrainian bombardment. Starving draftees with no gloves or good boots are huddling in shallow, unheated trenches while their officers squat in abandoned houses potentially miles away, unaware or uncaring as their soldiers succumb to the elements.

Very disturbing video. Some say the guy tried to kill himself with his gun, but I don't think so, because no trace of blood when he was finally motionless.
His right hand was blue, probably from hypothermia. He could no longer bear the pain due to hypothermia and/or other injuries. He couldn't kill himself because he was out of ammunition. Then he spotted the drone above him, and called for a mercy shot.

I don't know how I forgot to bring this up. Latvians have made subscription based donation system for support of Ukraine. The idea is similar to (in name as well to one particular) different other subscription based services - spotify, netflix etc. You pay a monthly subscription, but instead of receiving some entertainment content you help gathering support for Ukraine. And I find the idea brilliant - we don't even think twice piling up the subscriptions one on the other, just clicking in auto payment. And here we have another one which could actually bring a change and help people and isn't at a big price.
And Its called STOPIFY. https://stopify.org.ua/
FB - https://www.facebook.com/stopify.org.ua
https://jauns.lv/foto/arzemes/48188-stopify-nodod-pirmo-sutijumu-ukrainai#&gid=48188&pid=1 - here you can press through the pictures and already see the first shipment that has been provided for Ukraine with donated money.
Stats from website - 55k EUR already donated from 4000 people from 41 different country. If anyone is looking to join in - the donation collection part is done by "Ziedot.lv" (from Latvian - donate.lv) https://www.ziedot.lv/en and it has been around for years and is reputable un trustworthy company. You can be sure the money wont be siphoned by fat greedy bastards in government. At least one thing can be clear - Kremlin controlled fuckwits are not even close to this money.
Either way happy to again share support from Baltics to Ukraine. The war is atrocious and the regime of putler has to be destroyed so more people don't die on either side. So I hope that this thread is still being opened by other people as well and this will reach others as well - 6.99EUR a month and you help stand against Russia at least by small fraction.

I did mention in the thread but never brought up in more detail. Twitter Convoy was created in Latvia. It started out with some guys gathering up several used up cars to service them up and bring to Ukraine as some small help replacing destroyed equipment. It was mostly old soviet time cars, ones without technical inspection, banged up ones.. stuff like that. But it was something. Service shops volunteered to fix them up so they can be used by Ukrainians.
Eventually the word got out, people started donating cars, money, fuel. Some people even donated decent SUVs. It turned out into huge endeavor which eventually over the period of war has helped to bring OVER 900 vehicles to Ukraine.
https://twitter.com/poznaks/status/1584876159141302272/photo/1 - here is the update from October, but as of beginning of December its already reach 900 vehicles. https://www.ziedot.lv/en/twitter-convoy-for-ukraine-4232 - there is of course page for support on the same page that is responsible for Stopify which has raised nearly 400k.
But Twitter Convoy has gotten so big they have now their own site - https://agendum.lv . You can read up on how it works in the site.
https://www.karamuzejs.lv/lkm/latvijas-kara-muzejs-izstadis-twitter-konvoja-auto-no-ukrainas - Of course many of the vehicles donated get destroyed. But one of these where noted down and it was organized to bring the destroyed car back to Latvia to put it up on display to raise awareness for the war.
Not everything is going smoothly of course - https://twitter.com/poznaks/status/1577337922948407306 - at one point some subhumans actually stole tires and batteries of the donated cars. I dont think they found out who did it as the cars where sitting out in a field waiting to be brought to Ukraine. But even with this little hickup some ill wishers started bringing up how locals are sick of supporting Ukraine. As an answer to that in days time people donated new batteries un tires to put on these cars and they where eventually brought to Ukraine any way.
Support will not falter. I've noticed only willingly arrogant to show disregard towards the support and war. But it comes only from that part of the population that finds ANYTHING done by government as wrong. So no surprises there.
https://youtu.be/zqsph4kGjPo - Video from Agendum site. But straight here so you can see a little news clip on the convoy

Also from ISW - Russian Offensive Campaign Assessment, December 1
Russian military movements in Zaporizhia Oblast may suggest that Russian forces cannot defend critical areas amidst increasing Ukrainian strikes on Russian force concentrations and logistics. The Ukrainian General Staff reported on December 1 that Russian forces withdrew or are currently withdrawing personnel from Polohy, Myhailivka, and Inzhenerne in Zaporizhia Oblast.[41] The Ukrainian General Staff also reported that Russian occupation officials in Burchak are conducting a census in preparation for future evacuation measures.[42] The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces in the previous days struck Russian force concentrations in Myrne, Tokmak, Inzhenerne, Polohy, Yasne, and Kinsky Rozdory in Zaporizhia Oblast.[43] Russian forces may be withdrawing personnel from positions closer to the frontline in Zaporizhia Oblast to reduce the impact of increasing Ukrainian strikes on Russian manpower and equipment concentrations. The potential withdrawal from Polohy is particularly notable as the settlement lies at a critical road junction, and Russian forces would likely have a harder time defending Tokmak from potential Ukrainian operations without control of that junction. The withdrawal from a critical position may suggest that Russian forces cannot defend the entire frontline in Zaporizhia Oblast and are prioritizing where to concentrate forces. It is just as likely that Russian forces are reorienting their grouping in Zaporizhia Oblast and may move different personnel back into these settlements, however.
After conducting a census, the Russians also plan to evacuate civilians from several towns.
Plans appear to be underway for evacuation of Russian-held towns in Zaporizhzhia region
Despite denials from Russian-appointed officials in the southern region of Zaporizhzhia, there appear to be plans to evacuate civilians from several towns that are occupied by Russian forces.

Eighth wave of Russian missile attacks
The strikes came nearly two weeks after the last, may have done less damage than on previous occasions. Ukraine says it shot down 60 of the 70 missiles fired by Russia.
Iranian-made "kamikaze" drones did not take part in the latest strikes. The explanation could be a lack of supply or the Shahed 136 drones don't perform well in cold weather.
Explosions Reported at Two Russian Air Bases, Damaging Bomber Planes
Explosions have been reported at two air bases in Russia, according to local news outlets.
Russia's state-run news agencies TASS and RIA Novosti both said an explosion rocked an airfield near the city of Ryazan, southeast of Moscow on Monday, while a large blast was reported at another Russian military air base in the Saratov region, located some 600 kilometers east of Ukraine.
Three Russian servicemen were killed and six injured in the blast in Ryazan, TASS reported, while RIA Novosti cited a source in emergency services as saying that an aircraft was damaged in a blast that occurred after a fuel truck caught fire.
"Two TU-95 planes supposedly damaged after a reported drone attack on an air base in Russian Engels, Saratov region," Anton Gerashchenko, advisor to Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs tweeted.
"Engels airbase is one of the take-off sites for Russian planes that launch rockets on Ukraine," wrote Gerashchenko.
Mykhailo Podolyak, a politician, journalist and negotiator who serves as adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky tweeted: "If something is launched into the airspace of other countries, sooner or later unknown flying objects will return to the departure point."
This happened hours before the eighth wave of Russian missile attacks, meaning Ukraine anticipated the Russian strikes.
