My favourite controller is the Logitech Chillstream

Basically feels like a 360 Controller just a bit lighter but with useful cooling.

I've tried several gamepads but Logitech's Chillstream (XBOX-like controller with ventillation) is still at the top for me.

The Dualshock 4 is a hell of a lot better than the Xbox 360 controller, but it has a $60 price tag.

didn't have the chance to try it yet... the "old" dualshock was too light for my taste, felt like i'd brake it if pressed too hard...

New ones feel even more breakable IMO.

I don't dislike them but I prefer the 360 one, its preference....

Yeah i like them too but my hands get sweaty ludicrously easy so needed some cooling

You would dislike it then, my fingers tend to slip off the triggers on them from sweat.

It's all about preference really, I've only used the standard Xbox 360 and standard PS3 controllers, but I've always preferred the PS3 controller.

Unfortunately a lot of games don't support the dualshock kind of controllers.

Buy an Xbox One controller and a micro USB to USB cable.

This will be more expensive, but it's a better one because they improved a lot the performance and buttons, since official drivers came already, if it matter to you.

Definitely the Xbox 360 controller. It may look expensive (it is in my country anyway) but it's sure worth its price.

for me the Saitek P880

Certainly not the sturdiest or heaviest of the controllers. Its made with cheap materials, but it has a nice grip, it has 6 straight buttons like arcade the controllers (I kicked ass on sf3 and ssf4 when i had it), so its perfect for fighting games, i mean, it looks like you cant, but you can actually rest your index, middle and ring finger on each button and do 6 button combos easily, the only trouble you will have like that is reaching the right bumper, which can easily be solved to configure it on the left XD.

Instead of having a trigger and a bumper, there is only 1 huge bumper, or trigger.... Whatever, on each side .Same number of buttons at the end though, only in different places.

It lasted like 2 years until the left stick stopped detecting some motion. 10/10, will buy again (coz i will)

I have a Xbox 360 wireless controller and I'm really happy with it. Some friends also have one and they haven't had problems with it. I totally recommend that one (or wired, shouldnt matter).

I agree, although I have a wired one. Its lighter that way, and if nothing else, I always have a controller that doesn't need a battery. I don't play fighting games, so I don't worry about the lackluster directional pad, but it has excellent compatibility on PC.

I've also heard good things about the Xbox Juan controller, but I've never tried one.

I always have spare batteries just in case. I HATE wireless things on my PC, but I havent had any problem with this one (you notice when it's time to change batteries early enough to avoid problems). Also, it has a really large range (atleast 10m with a wall between controller and receiver).

Don't you mean a clone PS2 controller is still best.

I use a steam controller and a ps3 controller. the steam controller is good for some games but i wish i had a newer prototype since i like the button layout of the newer ones.

Why...why even talk about that? It's not like we can go and buy a Steam Controller.... :-(

Depends on the game for me. If it is action adventure or a shooter I am going with keyboard + mouse. If the game is driving, then I go with my wired 360 controller. If it is games like Grand Theft Auto, I use Keyboard + Mouse for anything not doing with a vehicle and I have my 360 controller plugged in so once I get in a vehicle, I can pick it up and use it and once I get out then I go back to K+M.

I have one of the logitech controller and it is superb, altho I got a xbx 360 for windows one and it's all good :) only use them for some platformers and it's not tiring to the hands and the locations of the thumbsticks aren't that far off.

If you're talking console-style pads, currently using a DS3. Might upgrade to a DS4 - the touchpad seems handy. Used a 360 pad, and really didn't like it due to the dpad, triggers, and the stick placement. From what I hear the bone pad fixes the dpad and makes the triggers & shoulder buttons worse, somehow. If you're talking proper PC controllers, I have a fairly nice steelseries keyboard (no ghosting) and a not entirely terrible (but cheap) razer mouse, TrackIR 4, and a nice Saitek HOTAS. No pedals, yet.

All wired, but the cables are neatly organised and don't get in the way.
